I figured you went tail out as you were making the right around that cone... you actually initiated the spin as you were turning (yanking) the car to the left and spun in the opposite direction from what I thought you did.
Yep, my control input tends to be pretty raggedy. I need to work on my smooth. I wanna go fast!

What's weird is that you look like you're in really good shape in that vid, right up until that point. Doesn't look like you had any reason to do what you did... maybe you were getting behind in the slalom, but it doesn't look like you were behind enough to require that level of input. Nor should a Miata lose it that easily from that input if you didn't lift at the same time... or did you? :?

There are a few things going on here.

First, Ed moved my car before the event and put some kind of Buddy Bodean bad juju on it. I had 3/4 tank of gas. The time change was messing with me. I didn't get a cup of coffee that morning. My tire pressures were off. I lifted. My right shoe wasn't tied properly. I was tired from shagging cones the previous day. I only got to walk the course once. I didn't look at the map.

I don't know what happened.

I had a great time! It was good to have the car back in action. Unfortunately, the driver wasn't operating at peak levels. I lost it three times in a row at the exact same spot. No warning, just broke loose. There was a small dip right at the turn into the finish lane that was schooling me hard! Thanks for the shock setting advice Loren.

looks like its spinning on the chalk ... just a thought.
Racing against my NEON is like getting in a fight with a girl, if you win you, you can't brag about it, and if you lose, you hope nobody finds out!

No problem... wish I could have given it earlier so that you could have put it to use!
