Whoa, whoa, whoa! What's with all the turns? That can't be safe! Think of the children!
Stick with nice long straightaways and easy, gentle curves.
You could pull a ligament with all that steering! :o

I think we need to take it easy on the Mustang etc. crowd this month and add more straights.

well since everyone seemed to enjoy figuring out the fast way around that pin turn last month, we've incorporated, what, about 8 or so of those. :-?

Start--> 360* pin turn ---> straight ---> 360* turn ---> etc. until you turn around and repeat until the finish. We'll have a coursemap next week some time but what with that description I don't think anyone will need it...you've got the idea. You know, something for everyone. A win-win.

Maybe we can have three cars out at once.

<sigh>

I love a good gag as much as anybody, but some people lack the ability to see a joke for what it is. We've had people panic, get pissy and unregister for events due to faux (and sometimes hilarious) course maps being posted.

So, I'll just caution everyone who might be inclined to such an overreaction that if a course map or idea seems too dumb to be true... it is.

After I posted, I also considered the chances that someone might not see the humor in my faux "8 pin turn" course map and took it down.

LOL yes Drew was joking.
I was joking.
Chris M and Chris B were not.

The course design is in revisions and will offer the typical most excellent driving experience.

So if any of you bailed, it's ok to reregister - you'll like the course!

Also, get rid of the timers and let everyone run at the same time.

Hello!

FAST Newbie here, but I've run AX for the last 6 months with PCA and BMW.
Tried to register but online registration is closed due to capacity.
Will FAST be accepting walk-ins at Brooksville?
With PCA and BMW the facility usually requires a list of attendees beforehand and I would hate to be turned away after a 60 minute drive from Brandon (albeit an enjoyable drive!).

Kind regards,
Jose

Unfortunately, no -- airport security rules require we submit a roster of everyone entering the site a week ahead of time, so no walk-ons. As you've noticed, all other clubs using the Hernando County Airport have the same issue. We do take some walk-ons at our St Petersburg College events -- see the event annoucements for details.

Keep an eye on the list for a bit longer. Pre-regsitration for this event doesn't close until Thursday night at 10pm -- sometimes people have to cancel their registration before the period closes. If that happens, you'll see a space open up.

Hello,

A little off subject, but do any of you Mazda guys have a used stock or performance rear sway bar for sale? I've made some suspension mods to the Cobra and decided to add a rear sway bar. It appears the dimmensions are similar to the MX5 at 35" wide with 8-10" legs.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

BTW, Lance and I will not be attending this month as we're trying our luck at Sebring on the 12th. Should be interesting.

PM me or contact me at 813-486-4620 if you can assist me with my search.
