Damn! That does suck, Dave!
Hopefully it will rain and you can blow that crap off and just go take a nice winery tour.

All right slackers! I'm doing lunch and I am freakin' tired of pizza. I know that sandwiches always end up short so any other ideas that will fit our $5/mouth budget? Come on, bring it on, I ain't skared.

Pitas and sun dried tomato hummus perhaps with sparkling water? :derp:

Gyros are a good option for Brooksville, as Mykonos (our pizza joint) also does gyros. Not sure if we have a good source for them at SPC.

Steve's got a list of "tried and true" lunch places.

I could go for some good ol' Soul Food, myself. There's an old "diner" kind of place over on 6th street that I've been to. Good burgers and surprisingly good BBQ ribs. They said they can do catering, but they don't deliver. Don't know if they'd be close to our budget or not, but you can call 'em if you want. Salems: http://www.salemsgyrosandsubs.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

They are at 1735 34th St S (727-321-7771). I called and they don't deliver but they do have party platters. Mostly finger foods, small gyros, cubans, wings, greek salad etc. Prices seem okay. 50 cuban 2-1/2" sandwiched for $39.00. Wings are 100 for $56.95.

I guess for our budget we could lay out a pretty good spread.

Publix is right down the street and has great fried chicken and if we order ahead of time, they can fix just about any sides we'd want: mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans, lima beans, greens, with rolls.....with some sweet iced tea ....

Wings would add a whole new dimension to "messy" and "trash" and "clean-up". Just sayin'.

But, hey, whatever your event chairman is willing to put up with is cool!

Your event chairmen think that chicken bones in the trash would attract every racoon in the neighborhood. Might work if we bagged everything tightly and knew the trashcans would be emptied the next day, but that's several "ifs", and any mistakes or mess are ours, not SPC's.

Subs or gyros would be cool. I think we've done decent BBQ a couple of times, and that's not quite as messy. Just make sure the supply guy insures we have plates and utensils.

Most of all: $5/person!

Yep, we need to keep it clean. So toward that, part of end-of-day cleanup is taking the trash out of the cans and throwing it in the big dumpster around the corner. Sometimes there's even fresh bags at the bottom of the cans. Please don't leave the trash in the cans.

I gotta call in our party platter order. Should I plan on 75 people?

This is the breakout, I just gotta know the number of folks so I can budget accordingly; (1 platter = +/-15 people)
(x) platters of Gyros
(x) platters of Cubans
(x) Greek salads

We will need plates and utensils (unless they are included).
