Generator Maintenance

Postby Loren » Fri Sep 16, 2011 9:08 pm

Anybody thought about this recently?

I think Brian rebuilt the carb a couple years ago. I bet it's due for a new plug and an oil change. Could probably be done some morning before an event if someone's up for it.

I can take it home after the event on the 16th and give it some love'n, and drop it back off at the garage before the next event, you would like.

That would be awesome, Scott!

It's too easy to neglect the maintenance until the thing doesn't work when we need it, yano?

Just did all of that last year: oil change, rebuilt the carb. New stater coil with wire and a new pull cord were put in a couple years ago.

I have a new plug but not sure it's the right heat range and I forget to bring it with me, if someone can pull the plug saturday and send me the number I'll pick one up and bring it sunday. :)

Unless we drop a valve or the electrical power unit dies, we should be good to go.

For the record, Brian told me he replaced the spark plug and all maintenance is good for the season.

We'll look at it again at the end of the season.

Thanks, Brian!
