July 21 Autocross - SPC

Postby Native » Sun Jun 10, 2007 7:28 pm

May as well post this up now, especially since Mike (bama rebel2000) has offered to co-chair to learn the ropes ( http://www.kickflop.net/autocrossbb/viewtopic.php?t=123" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ). Who wants to take on this event and get him up to speed?

Looks (so far anyways) like I'll be around for this one. I'll tech or setup or whatever as usual.

Maybe I'll bring the Integra out instead of the S2000.. now do OEM springs from a different trim integra bump it into a different class? :P

Yes...if you change the stock spring rate -- even to a stock rate for another car -- you bump to the appropriate modified class.

I pretty much knew the answer to that but figured I'd ask it anyways :)

I guess one event in a higher class wouldn't hurt, but to do that I need to fix some other issues on the integra for me to feel confident that it's ready to go anyways...

I'd be in for safety again, unless someone else wants it.

Not I :)

I wouldn't mind being a co chair to learn eventually, but first I want to learn a few other aspects, timing, maybe safety, etc. Not that you have to know such things to co chair, or chair an event, but I'd want to anyways.

Pam and I are going to bow out of this one (and I was one of the few with perfect attendance!!! ). It's a little too close to the Gap trip for us.

I chaired May. No chairing or co-chairing for me on this one.

I'll do something else though. When the time has come, give me a prod.

we need a course with a lot of slalom action so steve can "get closer to them"... Now that I'm sitting in the airport bar, I'll play with paint and see if any brilliance strikes me.

Great group of the usual suspects, so far!

It's probably time to post announcements on the various boards:
TR
EastSiders
etc.

Please feel free to spread the word.

Anyone wanna chair with MIke? He's an eager assistant...
