Much thanks to the volunteer so far, but we still need more. If you've never done it, it's very cool! You'll be tired at the end of the day (whether you're an instructor or course worker), but you'll witness first-hand a group of students improve by leaps and bounds throughout the day, it's pretty awesome.

Also, STUDENT REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Spread the word. This is a great opportunity for anybody you know who's been procrastinating about getting started in autocross, or even new(ish) drivers who could benefit from some Special High Intensity Training. (the course isn't really geared toward street safety, but we all know the skills are priceless) Send them to the Student Info thread.

He doth speakth the truth...being involved in the school as staff is a lot of fun. I've chaired, instructed and worked the course over the years (I can't go this year...) and each position, one way or another has been a bit of work and totally worth it! So don't hesitate to get involved!

I think in Ed's case it's more of a 'friction triangle'.

I'll shag cones, if the volunteer spots haven't filled up. I'm probably going to be there all day anyway.

Put me down for course working.

Looks like my mom will be doing the school, so she'll have the car. TOTALLY WORTH IT FOR THE HILARITY.

Ed, I moved you to an instructor slot. If we end up getting more instructors, I can move you back to a worker position, but it looks like we're going to need instructors more.

Dave O and Ron... you guys are "co-chairing", and I'm not sure which one of you wants to be the "primary". Whichever that is, you'll be the guy watching the clock on event day, making sure everybody is in the right place at the right time, and generally running the show. The other chair will primarily be helping with organization, pre-event, and setup stuff and should be available to instruct. So, figure out which one of you that is, and get on the instructor list.

And if anyone else on the worker list thinks you might want to try your hand at instructing, but aren't quite sure, PM me and we can discuss.

I'll instruct. Back should be 100% by then for sure so getting in and out of cars constantly should be ok :)

Things are coming together nicely. 16 of 32 students registered so far. We're still needing just a couple more instructors and some back-up workers.

We're still short a worker or two. Don't be shy.

Also, for the workers and instructors who have signed up, if you're SURE you're going to be there, you can go ahead and use a credit to register for the March 18 event. (if you take the credit and then no-show the school... we'll come looking for you! )

Be sure to register early for the March 18 event. With 20-25 or more students registering for it, it's going to fill up fast!

Did I mention that registration is open as of tonight? Yep, it is.

Hate to bail out now, but I just realised the day of the school is my birthday, so I won't be able to make it.

Sorry guys!

We lost a worker (Have a great Birthday Andrew), and we gained a worker (thanks Mario). That means we still need a couple instructors and a couple workers.
