Postby Loren » Wed Feb 01, 2012 10:09 pm

Student Registration is Open!
4 slots remaining as of Feb 20.
  • Entry is limited to those who have competed in 6 or fewer autocross events.
  • Students must be fully licensed drivers (no permits), and if under 18, must have a parent present to sign the minor waiver.
  • Students will receive one-on-one in-car instruction on several practice elements throughout the day, plus timed runs before and after the school and classroom instruction.
  • Students get discounted entry into the March 18 autocross. ($15 value, not transferrable)
  • To provide quality instruction, the class size will be small with a maximum of 32 students. Our student-to-instructor ratio is 4:1 or better.
  • Pre-Registration with payment is required for all students. No walk-ups!
  • $75 entry fee includes the World Famous FAST lunch and beverages.
  • NO REFUNDS. Entries cancelled prior to the registration deadline will receive credit for two future autocross events. No-shows or entries cancelled after registration closes are NOT guaranteed event credit. If you must cancel, please try to do so well before registration closes to allow another student to register in your place!

So what do you actually do, as a student? What are the different "clinics," per se?

You learn!

The exercises are: slalom, skidpad, launch/brake, turn and classroom... plus a full autocross course.

Don't overthink it, the less you know going in, the better!

Students will get some informational emails before the event once everyone is registered. Patience, grasshopper...

BREAKING NEWS! I may have convinced my mom to try AutoCrossing! I told her about the school and she was definitely interested. She'd have to drive my car, though. Tempting...

Honestly, she'd be better to drive something she's more familiar with, like your Honda.

I'll probably attend, really not sure right now, my friend is trying to convince me to go to sebring, hopefully there is space by mid feb, but there is always next year for that, and the instructional course would greatly help me.

To be clear, I was just wondering when you say a discounted entry for March 18th event. Does that mean the students pay $15 for the 18th event, or the $75 includes the event ? Just wondering.

Translation from Spanish to English:
"Oh hell no. If you're making me do this crap, I'm gonna drive the cool car."

So... Tempted... But then I can't do the school myself... Blah!

Students get a $15 discount for Sunday. They must pay the balance of their entry fee for Sunday, which is $15.

That yelling will get you in trouble later :nope: , but that just means more time to hang out with your friends :thumbwink: , so I guess it really is a win-win. 8-)

A have a friend who is looking to sign up, but MyAutoEvents only accepts payment for registration by PayPal. Due to a recent move, her account is suspended and must be validated by postal mail.

Is there any alternate way to make payment for the registration?
