There was a cancellation today. Still two slots open!

Lots of "shuffling" going on. People canceling, other people registering.

But, the current status is that there is ONE slot open. Technically, it's supposed to be a "guest" slot (there are only 4 guests registered). But, I won't complain if it goes to a driver rather than remaining empty.

Registration closes Thursday.

As soon as registration closes Thursday, I will get with Loren and find out who is working setup, tech, registration, etc, basically I will be informing those who need to be on site at 7am or 8am. This isn't official, but it looks like Eric and Drew are on Set Up and Chris is on Tech.

Anyone want to tow the trailer, please let me know ASAP ! :)

Did anyone get a count on bottled water and soda, and what we might need ?

Looks like lunch will be pizza unless someone wants to step up and do something different, please let me know if you want to, so I can give you a person count and budget.

I got 5 or 6 four foot strips of drywall to mark the cones, now I just have to remember to bring them.

I think I still have a small sheet of drywall I can cut some strips out off. I'll see what kind of shape it's in this weekend.

Are you getting the BRZ from Reeves? Is it blue? It's featured on their FB page today.

No. Kinda surprised they even got one with their pitiful sales numbers.

Mine is sitting outside, got it a few days ago. It is blue though. :P I got mine from Mastro (IMO the best Subaru dealership around here hands down).

It got out of hand by being to all-inclusive. Event chairs are free to post a list for just the positions you mentioned. And I believe Brian said he was going to do that soon. As for the rest... all the "gravy" assignments need to be handed out based on experience and the club's needs rather than "first come, first served" as before. So, that whole process gets held until after registration is closed and we know who is signed up.

I swear I said all this last month. And probably the month before. Not to mention at the beginning of this thread. :dunno:

Unfortunately, I won't be at any fast events in the near future, because I'm moving to Coral Springs this weekend. All the events I've taken part in thus far have been really fun. Thanks Fellas and enjoy!

Yeah, and it almost went bad last month. I almost slept in but decided I'd go ahead and show up to help setup anyway. Then once getting there, found out I was setup. Luckily Drew helped out. I feel it's kinda been a cluster the last few events knowing who's doing what before the event. Personally, I miss having a running list at the beginning of the thread, even if it was TBD and just a few of the early morning jobs.

Like I said, event chairman can do that. What I'm not doing as pre-registrar is putting all the OTHER work assignments up before registration is done.

You're only talking about like 3 positions. Lunch, setup and tech. We have a fixed registration team, and a fixed timing guru. IMO, the event chair can hand-pick people for those positions, verify that reg & timing are covered, and that's that. Doesn't need to be a big to-do on the forum.

Okay this is the official work thread.

Set Up 7am: Drew Scoda and Eric Gwatney

Tech 7:30ish : Chris

Tear Down/Load Trailer : Myself, Dave B, ?? , ??

Supplies ?

I'm assuming John will be taking care of registration duties as usual. Don't know if anyone volenteered for tear down duty, but I'd really like to have a couple people assigned to help with that.

Still haven't heard what we need as far as supplies go. I know we will need gas for the genny, and 8 to 10 bags of ice. If I don't get a count on sodas and water I will just pick up 8 cases of water and call it a day.

I have Lunch covered unless someone wants to do something other than pizza, let me know by June 6th, or the pizza order goes in.

I submitted the course to Dave for safety and he gave it a green light, so we're good to go there. There will need to be the usual tweaking in the morning but there shouldn't need to be a lot.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat? The course has been approved but it's not posted. When you get a chance please post away. This is the only fun thing I do all month and I've been dying to see what the course looks like!
