I'll have a course map for safety review this week.

Who wants what job? We got big jobs, little jobs, in between jobs. Our job prices are so low you'll think we're insane.

All right!!!

To whoever, please feel free to post announcements about the event on other forums/boards you may haunt. Thanks!

Only need one person assigned to safety -- Ron can draft people for course review as he sees fit (we often end up with a group anyhow).

I'll cover run groups and workers again.

Let's keep it down to 2 each for setup and teardown...we need people available to work during the day!

This may be a dumb question, but what's the procedure for posting the code for the events? Does is get pasted between "quote" or "code" or what???

I figured it out once, but it took forever and now I don't recall...

You should be able to cut and paste what I posted. Any fancier way to do it beats me. Corrections have been made to the list.

Thanks.

Put me down for registration, but I can flex if I'm needed elsewhere.

You put it in "code" blocks.

You can put me down for set-up and I can help out else where if needed. I might not be able to stay for tear down though, I have to be in Inverness by 4:30, so depending on what time we finish will determine that.

My friend Steve Woodbury will be there, and his knee's aren't in the best shape, so if you could put him at grid, start finish, writing down times, or anything that doesn't require running would be great.

Thanks, Brian :)

I'll bring the trailer. Heck, I think I'll even stay and drive for a change!

(As always, the above statements are subject to change due to unscheduled business trips. However, I'm told these should be at a minimum from now on. We can always hope.)

No problem. I remember him from a previous event, right?

FWIW, if someone needs or wants a particular work assignment beyond filling the event chair's core needs, put it in a note to the registrar when you register on MAE, or drop a note to wedrivefaster@yahoo.com. I will always figure out a way to accomodate physical limitations. If you want to learn one of the core jobs -- registration, tech, timing, starter, grid -- I'm always happy to try and introduce new people to those specialties, so long as they can be paired up with someone experienced.

+1

If you're diggin' the autocross thing, and want to get more involved, and keep the club healthy, learning one (or two) of the core jobs would be a great way to go. The more "trained" folks we have the better! So don't be shy!

Yes it's the same guy.

Since this only is his second AC, grid or start would work great, but what ever assignment you decide to give him I'll help him out. Thanks :)

Since we're on this subject, maybe after morning set up, I could tag around with the Tech Inspection person and learn that?

Nope, being a tech inspector is like joining the Stonecutters. You have to be the son of one or save the life of one. :D (If you watch the Simpsons, you'll know.)

Seriously tho, tag along it's always nice to learn something new. I'm sure Dave and Tim will appriceate the help.

If anyone is interested in learning safety, please contact rcroft. Another safety marshal would be killer so we don't burn out Ron.

Brian -- we'll have to find a way for you to save Ryan's life...the idea of him reproducing is just too disturbing.... :)

Loren, Steve, or I can fill in if he gets tired...but more are certainly welcome.
