Trailer cleanup - Sunday 6/24

Postby Native » Thu Jun 21, 2012 11:17 am

So Loren and I are gonna go over to the trailer's lair and give it a once-over rather than leave it closed up wet for 6 weeks. :o

We'd love a little help.
Sunday the 24th at 3:30.

With enough hands it should only take a hour or two.

Anyone can help?

Just signed up for my 1st event on July 22nd. With that being said I will offer to help out if I'm needed and a good way to meet a few of you. Let me know if you need a set of novice hands for this job.

No experience required, Matt!

Where the trailer is stored is a little hard to find, and we don't like to publish it, anyway. So, let's plan on meeting somewhere else first.

How 'bout the CVS on the NE corner of East Bay & Belcher. Be there by 3:15, we'll leave there at 3:20 sharp!

Who else is coming?

I will be there. I can meet you at the trailer lair. I take it someone will be bringing cleaning supplies. I would still like to get hooks to hang the helmets-- promote air circulation, free up space on the floor and all that.

^^^ [Supertrooper] Do iiiiitt... [/Supertrooper]
But not sure about how the wall studs are set up - might need hooks on a board that is then mounted. There's 12 helmets, I think. Hmm, could they hang from the loose chain that holds the counter up?

I figured I'd bring some stuffs to clean with - y'all feel free too, I can't promise I won't forget anything.

Rain may be a factor - especially if Howard's back yard is a lake...hmm, maybe I'll email him.

If you're going to hang helmets, it would be best to hang them far enough apart that they don't bang into each other TOO much.

One or two more pairs of hands would make quick work of unloading and reloading the trailer. Looks like we could be dodging the usual thunderstorms, so being quick in that regard could be helpful.

Anybody else got some free time on Sunday afternoon?

The barn is pretty empty now, so you could probably do it all inside. Put all the stuff in the lift room.

Good to know, Howard. I figured if it's raining, we could just pull the trailer forward and unload it into the space it was in, anyway.

Hope you can make it, Matt.

Steve, what supplies are you bringing? We're meeting in front of CVS, I can pick up anything we might need there.

I have windex, simple green, lysol, paper towels, rags. Probably some other stuffs but that's all I can imagine we'd need...
Febreze for the helmets would be great (CVS).

OH, and thanks Howard - now I won't bother emailing you! :)

A little splash of bleach in each of the coolers will kill whatever is growing in there.

I'm starting to feel really good about Howard's barn being empty. If we had to do this outside, it would be pointless to try to do it today!
