Oh I'm not saying it won't be fun, otherwise I wouldn't have went with it. I'm just wanting to work a little more "length" into the course. I'm glad we were able to make a functional course from my inexperienced musing, I just want to continue to improve on ideas. We had one last season that doubled over the same areas of the course in different directions and it made it more than just doing the same element twice. I'll have to bring my iPad with me to a Monday meeting one of these days and we can sit and talk and doodle maps.

The problem with doing multiple loops is that you end up with a long course, but due to all the loops, you can't run more than one car on course. The first car has to almost finish their run before you can start the second. You go from a 25-30 seconds start interval to maybe 45 seconds.

If you can start a car every 25 seconds, you can get 24 cars through a run in about 10 minutes. 6 runs is easy.

If you can only start a car every 45 seconds it takes 18 minutes to get 24 cars through a run. Suddenly, just doing 4 runs becomes "challenging".

There are reasons why we do things the way we usually do them. 8-)

We can make it work... I'm cool with 4-5 longer runs personally.

Occasionally, it's okay. It's just something else that bears consideration.

I would design courses on weird parking lots (like I used to when a fearless leader) if I could take criticism. But my skin is way to thin for that. I won't even trust a food service to provide a mass lunch unless I talk to them in person and get a copy of the order (unless I totally trust the owner...aka Footlong hotdogs in Brooksville).

Some day when folks come visit Felony's in Spring Hill I might actually consider going to Tampon for a Monday meeting occasionally? Maybe on a Wednesday test and tune nite at a drag strip?

If you cease to be challenged you might wake up dead.

Even on this course, you will have to wait for a car to be half way through the last loop turn before you start the next car. Because of the cross over you have to wait until after the cross over. Until that car passes half way through the final loop, you run the risk of a car washing out of that turn, if they are too fast, and pushing right into the car at the start. This course will likely be only 35-38 sec for most cars and 30-31 for ftd probably.

True enough, Howard. But, being a short course (35 seconds), the start interval will still be in our target range of 25-30 seconds.

So anyone ever dreamed of being a caterer for a major movie set, or music video? Start your career SUNDAY by volunteering to wow us all with another famous FAST lunch! Seriously though if anyone can take up the task of lunch this Sunday it would be much appreciated!

Let Ron or myself know what you plan on wowing us with. 8-)

To whoever grabbed my cancellation, you're welcome. I had to cancel because I killed my car during TS Debbie by driving into a flooded street. Since I have a brand new engine now, I'm giving it a little break-in period before Autocrossing again.

However, I will drop by with Sarah for most of the day before heading out to the beach. We'll be trying our hand at photography (one shooter/one spotter) and hopefully you guys will get some pictures out of the event. No guarantees as to quality, though.

Steve,

I saw this a couple posts after Brians and thought that it was referring to Brian's offer. My brain didn't process this as two different paths so I dismissed it and never went back to it.
