Post Vehicle purchase / pre race inspection

Somewhere i once read a article about the important of a good vehicle inspection. Well this car ( 91 mazda rx7 ) is a poster testimony to that. What looked good and drove decent. Was nowhere near any condition to race in. Sadly because of the thing that do not meet my approval i will not be attending the july race. I thank the God above that i have a shop i can use and put a car up on a lift.

Some of the things i have found in dire need of repair where . ball joints tie rod ends brake lines that could have ruptured at anytime, a engine supporting cross member that was cut into and poorly welded on , suspension bushings lets not even talk about those.
Even thou the car drove okay home frm the dealer my brother and i noticed a unusual tire wear pattern once put on his alignment rack it revealed a 4it was 4 degrees out ( there went a set of pricey goodyear) .

Needless to say the car has granted my brother and I some great quality time together
reminiscing about old time and how many times we have done this in the pass and at the same enjoy a cold beer or two in the process.

With a full engery supension bushing set and miscellaneous other parts, and a whole alot of love are being given to this neglected girl once again. I hope to see you all on the track some time soon.
