The cam and Eibach springs take you out of Stock and into Modified.

The default Modified class for your car is M2. You can pretty much do any mods you want in M2 short of a really big engine swap or adding forced induction. (those could bump you up to M1)

You should start a new thread about tires, you'll get lots of opinions there.

Thanks Loren. Do you know when registration opens for the St. Pete event next month? I don't want to miss it again.

Hello All,

Heard about FAST doing autocross events up in Brooksville from a neighbor who's son drives a mini and competed. I recently traded my 07 VW Rabbit in for a 2012 GTI. This is my 8th VW owned. I've had 60's and 70's air cooled bugs, early models of the GTI and convinced my finacee` that we needed to replace her Xterra for a Touareg. ( she loves it )
When it comes to VW's we are pretty BrandLoyal.

I'm interested in meeting you all at the July 22nd autocross event. I'll be the guy standing around not really knowing what he is doing.

Sounds good. Don't be afraid to ask for ride-a-longs so you can get a feel for it...the passenger seat is MUCH more dramatic though.

Oh was it for me? I thought it was for another John.  If its me, its cool, I can ride along.  Just be careful, haha.  I prepped, and painted the car myself two years ago.  Came out perfectly fine for me.  And have not fully enjoyed it yet with the new color :). The car is always parked :)

Happy to take a run in your car (bwahahahaha!). Usually I'll offer to if I'm working with a new driver that just isn't pushing their car hard enough because they have no idea how hard they CAN push it. Or sometimes for other reasons. But, usually that. Whatever it takes to help a driver learn.

Okay. I'll be glad to let you drive it! Then I hope I can grasp all your tips and suggestions. It will be an honor to become a student of yours. And hopefully you can give me tips on how to setup/tweak my car. :)

I wish I still have time to change the clutch, but I guess I don't have enough time to do it now. It is still the original OEM clutch, but it works fine.

Thanks!
