Oooh... Ed's gonna run this event with ex-Air Force precision! :chuckle:
Yes we will run this event on time and have fun too.
Having everybody know there worker assignments and hustling to them between run groups will allow everybody to get the maximum number of runs.

Jeremy,

I guess when you chair an event you can run it any way you want. And don't forget, there are a lot of other clubs in the area, and attendance to the Fast events is voluntary.

See ya at the event!

You tell them Jeremy, kick their ass with your new Mustang ! :thumbwink:

Since you won't be driving a Nissan, maybe you could take my 240 out and show me how it's done with a bone stock car with minor suspension upgrades. 8-)

I'm sure there will be a few DNF's , but if everyone walks the course enough, and makes mental notes where to turn it shouldn't be an issue. The first run, for most of us, will never be the best one anyway, so take your time on the first run and get it down. Plus if you're not the first few cars running, take a ride with someone else. If I'm in the first run group, I will start up front and take whoever wants to ride along with me on all of my runs. :)
Brian, Talked to you back at bville event. I have a buddy who I registered in my car. his first time ever. We'll be in the same group but I am hoping you can instructor drive him once or twice. Not sure how or if that will work.

I actually asked Charles and he affirmed that they were running on new "street tires" that event. So if we did a PAX I kind of think the Jerster would have finished a little higher than just fastest 140 tired car. I'm pleased it took him a ride in my car and 5 passes to "get" my reversed course. :read:

But we all do this only for "fun" right :snicker:

Just a heads up for anyone who may have missed the registration, I might be cancelling my registration. My STI has come down with a leak in a coupler that I may not have time to fix before the event. I have the part already just not the time to fix it. The leak is making it run super lean and causing a ot of knock at higher rpms plus putting it in limp mode with only 8.5 psi. I am not sure of the cutoff to cancel but I will post up before I do cancel so you guys can tell someone to take the stop.

Those of us with only 1 atmosphere will probably not give you alot of sympathy for feeling limp :whine:

Here's the SPC forms.
Feel free to print them and complete them in the comfort of your own home and bring them to the registration table Saturday morning. Please print them back to back on one page (print one. reinsert paper into printer. print the other).

Never mind on my cancellation. I think I have my sti all fixed. A new turbo inlet coupler seems to have done the trick. The old one had a few tears in it. I'll see how she drives tomorrow and decide for certain if I have to cancel.

Tomorrow is the cancellation deadline isn't?

Just for everyone's info:

If you want to know when registration opens or closes, go to the event info page on MAE and scroll down. It's right there. I could try to tell you off the top of my head, but you've seen the top of my head... not much there. Better to go to the source.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

But you still have to deal with the Jerster switching from the Boosted rice burner to Single Atmosphere from Dearborn. Good luck with that.
