I'll bring a 5-gallon can -- need to turn over some of my genny fuel anyhow.

Also, I'm pretty new to this stuff but if you need some help I'm available. If possible I would like to work during the first group so I can see what goes on....

That's one of the features of autocross in general -- everyone who drives, works. Don't worry about being new -- we do our best to make sure everyone gets a good introduction. There will be a course walk geared to novices before the drivers' meeting -- plan on walking along. No matter which group you're running in, there's also plenty of help available...if you want an experienced driver to ride along with you, or you ride along with them, that's easily arranged. Ditto for work assignments -- whatever the assignment, you'll be teamed up with people who have done it before.
