Re: January 5 - Brooksville
Well, hopefully Evan will go for it!
In the meantime, Doug's got lunch.
We'll need a trailer tow, and supply pick-up. I went thru the Dec event threads - did anyone note how much of what was left over?
I'll do registration at the gate, which means the co-chair will be coordinating things at the trailer.

Re: January 5 - Brooksville
The bottom of one big cooler was filled with a mishmash of cans standing up neatly = 36?
Saw I think Ed put three more unopened 12 packs of odd in there so it's reasonable to think there are a total of 72 various cans in that one cooler.
Probably not alot of Coke, Coke Diet or Sprite left.
Wild guess of 3 cases of water standing by the trailer? Maybe a trailer loader will remember?
Looked like we were running low on plaster board for cone chalk?

I can do supplies again. I asked Loren if we had enough drywall sticks and he said there were plenty. If this is an over site let me know, I can pick up a bunch of them at Lowes.

I MAY be here for this event. I didn't realize it was that early in the month and penciled in a trip to New England. I MAY be able to tow.

Can't tow this event, we're bringing both cars.

Ok...I'll co-chair with anyone who wants to, but a noob would be preferred.
C'mon, it'll be fun!
Who else besides Ed and Jim is set up to haul the trailer for us?

I should be up for a tow. Gotta get a new hitch set-up. If not I will just run with the bumper hitch. How much dose that trailer weigh when it's loaded?

I would guesstimate no more than 2,000lbs. New truck?
Ed, maybe we can split towing duty? Assuming I can haul it up mid-morning on Friday and dump it and you bring it back.......
I haven't towed this thing since significantly downgrading the size of my truck, I assume it tows pretty well now that we have a balanced loading plan?

If my bagged truck (128 rwhp 210tq) with original trans with 200K+ miles can tow it fine, then either of y'alls truck should handle it fine.
Well, I don't know if i'd run it to brooksville...

Re: January 5 - Brooksville
I pulled it with my Ford Explorer Sport Trac just fine, but it had a Class III receiver. And yes new to me truck, without tow package. The bumper is reinforced, and I think it is rated for 2000#, while the truck is rated for something like 7600#. I may be able to do the 1 way deal if I can get son-in-law to bring truck up to event.Charles wrote:buddy bodean wrote:I should be up for a tow. Gotta get a new hitch set-up. Sounds like the only issue for you would be the fact that the bottom of the coupler is around 13"(level) on the trailer. I'm sure your bumper is 4-5" higher than that. Might be ok to get by with for now

Re: January 5 - Brooksville
Now I understand why Jim removed the trailer hitch from the S2000 and sold it.
Ron Rice Burner still has a nice hitch on the Big Blue that would be low enough and he doesn't need Flintstones 710's anymore since he is so slow with those case hardened "race tires" that even I can beat him with Shamu.
Knock, knock.
Who's there?
Jawanna.
Jawana who?
Jawana B. our friend and tow our trailer to Brooksville and Back?
I'll be your friend and let you co-drive my twisted car with new sticky virgin R1R tires if you do. Fast, light and Quiet too.

Yeah, it's frustrating as hell. They say they're trying to find the cause of it. Said it almost looks like a DDOS attack, just a mysterious big spike in traffic. Then it stops.Dave-ROR wrote:I almost got registered and then MAE crashed again.
