Registration for this event has been nothing but weird. I guess it's due to the holiday weekend. (and that's a first... we've done events on Mother's Day, Father's Day, Easter... never been weird like this)

The Early session filled up first, as expected... but then within a day was back down to 46 due to cancels.
There have been no less than 12 people who have canceled either due to conflicts or to move to the opposite session.
At least two people who canceled have re-registered.

And now... there are actually more people registered for the afternoon than the morning! 49/46

So... 5 slots are open if anyone's still itching to get in. And registration closes Thursday at 10pm. If you need to cancel, PLEASE do it before then so we'll know who's going to be there. (you'll also qualify for event credit if you cancel before registration closes, but not if you cancel late or no-show)

It's SPC so here's the forms you'll need for registration. It's much simpler at the event if you print these ahead of time, complete them and bring them with you.

If you don't mind, print them on one page, back to back - print one, reinsert the paper the other way in the printer, then print the other. Thanks!

The Main Menu

Postby twistedwankel » Thu Jul 04, 2013 6:20 pm

So are you ready for the Main Course? Now that you've see the driving course that most of you will lose on.

So this is really a 3 course event.

Maiden hand rolled, "Heat Cycled", double breaded Chicken Tenders (oh God I ate the bones) and chilled to hold the grip with Ranch or BBQ USDA approved additives.

Sliced and stacked "Cubanitos" from the Senate (so contain "pork"). Optional toppings on the side.

Fresh "Raw" Vegetarian Platter with Ranch "dip" (because I hate blue cheese). So take over if you love blue cheese that tastes like laquer thinner.

Retread 1/2 Wraps for Vegetarians and Deluxe mixed lovers with "bite". (Loren's favorite - which I have named 'The Jeremy'.)

Mixed Subs to celebrate the Hernando High School's Victory @ the Sub races up north @ the Naval academy.

Cookies are installed to be Windows friendly.

And yet another surprise to clear some of your palates @ the end.

Mayor of Dougopolous

Am I allowed to use my new "Flux Capacitor" Sunday?

If I mess up a run I just hit Time reset. Little did I know it was an '86 GT (Get Time) Option. So that keeps me in S3.

If this were SCCA, the prevailing "if the rules don't say you can, you can't" philosophy would prevail. But, since there is no FAST rule preventing the competitive advantage of time travel... carry on.

But, I don't think you'll hit 88 mph at SPC, Doc.

(does this make you Doug, Doctor of GT Time Travel, Duke of Lunchington, Mayor of Dougopolis?)

Well, the ole Vette is running like crap tonight. So I'll drive the truck down in the am, help set up and probably head out. I can tow the trailer in the am if I'd help out (the trailer is only 5min from me). Just let me know, otherwise I'll see you early at the track!

That just stinks, I'd offer a codrive if I hadn't already offered it to Rick. I am sure you can hop in someone's ride.

Thanks Matt. It's a blessing in disguise though, I've got a lot of stuff I really need to get done.

Eric, you totally need to flog the truck again... with a For Sale sign on it. And be sure it gets some good video coverage.

If that doesn't sell the truck, nothing will!

Hmm, didn't even think about that. It's on. Racing the truck. I even have numbers for it. Of course I left them at work so I have to leave a tad early to go get them. Oh yeah, this will be FUN! So, who's ready to lose to a truck?
