About to pull the trigger, advice on classing..

Postby snookwheel » Thu Aug 29, 2013 7:51 pm

Found a great deal on a new DD and AutoX toy. I'm not sure how it should be classed with FAST. The interior is pretty intact except for the center console which is from a two year newer model, all the interior carpet have been removed (Walmart truck bed spray in it's place), And the radio / CD player is also from a newer model, hence the updated center console. the original console didn't have a CD player. According to the owner, everything else is stock. Open to any advice, thanks.

Street tires or race tires? :)

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

Is that front air spoiler factory? and at that angle it looks like it might have lowering springs

I scored a set of Firestone 500's that a guy was selling outta his trunk at Walmart!!!! They will fit perfect.. So I guess I will be stock. I pulled into the parking lot at just the right time, he was selling bags of shrimp too... Got a couple of those, surprise meal for Mary!

The spoiler is definitely aftermarket but it's only attached by black duct tape, easy to remove. Can't wait to show it off at the next event! I sent a money order to his Uncle in Zimbabwe, he has the Title and is on a mission trip. As soon as it clears, I get to pick up the car!!! Very excited :thumbwink:
