Had a blast today. Thanks to everyone for putting this together. Sarah took a ton of pics (almost all in action) and there are some good ones. I'll try to get through them soon and post them up.

Congrats to the top dog, Tim McArthur, and to class winners:
R1 - Tim McArthur
M2 - Drew Scoda
S1 - Loren Williams
S2 - Jesse Olsen
S4 - Dave Oneil

Full Results Here

And thanks to all those who helped make this event happen! Due to the event being short about 12 drivers, workers were short to begin with, especially in group 2. Then, with 4 late cancels and no-shows, we ended up even shorter... and most of the missing drivers were again in group 2!

But, everyone pulled together, even a couple of our guests, to get everything done. Extra special thanks to those who stayed late and helped us clean up!

Great set. The lighting was definitely challenging by the end. I could have benefitted from polarized lenses. I could barely see the drivers' signals thru the windshields, especially facing west.

Thanks for the pix and vids, Jesse.

Wow there was some excellent driving out there today! Unfortunately, I had nothing to do with it... Was still great fun - Duels are just a blast!
Congrats to all the class winners, and to Tim for kicking everyone's butt today!!

As was said, we really appreciate the help today - from start to finish, folks were stepping up all over the place. If assistance was needed, we only had to ask once. What a great group of people!

INVENTORY for January is roughly 5 cases of a variety of soda and about 2 1/2 cases of water. Plenty of paper products.

You're welcome, but don't thank me. Thank Sarah! :notworthy:

Here's is another one I found that I tried to edit up. It's a little bright, but the sun was kinda fighting the place Sarah was taking picture's from.

Sarah got a new lens for the camera. Next time just ask her to take some pics of your car and we will try to get a few more.

Another great FAST event!

Certainly appreciate the extra effort over a normal autocross event-I'm not sure how one comes up with all the computations on who runs who and combining that class with this one and that one (must be higher math!)-nor would I want to be the one making those calls either! Thankless job...

Enjoyed the course too...car was a ringer...drag style launch, pin turn, and great gearing for short spell on the limiter in second on the straights (if I did the corner ok).

Dave O's attempt to psych Jesse's concentration was classic...

Thanks Sara (Jesse) for the shots...hard to get shots of your own car in action if you are driving-much appreciated.

And thanks to Chris M. for not showing!

Of course, we all know if you can't drive with just two wheels...AWD is the solution, possibly a boring one (wish mine popped 3 wheeled wheelies rather than doglegs), but it does make you perform like Jeremy D!

See you in January...

BTW, if we run this course for another Duel (and we probably will, it was a good course), there will likely be two changes. One change to further equalize the two sides, and... I think I want to try to reposition the two starting lines, rotating them 90 degrees from where they are (so that the drivers are still facing each other at the start) to put a 90 degree turn right after the start. That pure dragstrip launch wasn't the best idea. (it is "classic Mirrorkhana", though)
