Right, so... here's the course. It's got a little complexity to it, but if you look at it, it makes sense. Should give us about a 40-45 second course and a 30-second start-interval. And an easy-to-manage grid, and good crowd-control, yadda yadda.

Funny how I thought it went in the other direction.

But then there is July.

You mean run this course in the other direction? We'd have to make a number of significant changes to it, but I guess we sort of could.

An immediate u-turn. My wheels rub like a beast at full lock! Better look for the spacers. Awesome course!

I didn't count them all, but we're probably using most of them. We have over 300 cones at our disposal.

Are spectators permitted at TBD? I'd love to come watch for a bit.

Yeah, I may have to roast the tires to make that u-turn as well, but I like a challenge. :whip:

Buncha whiners. That first turn is about 75' wide. Yeah, a 35' radius turn would SUCK anywhere else on course... but, approaching it from a STOP should be a piece of cake. Even for those big heavy cars that don't turn, like Mustangs... and apparently Corvettes!

75 feet = about 6 standard highway lanes. If you can't turn your car around in 6 lanes from a stop... other sports beckon. :)

The 50-foot slalom and the turn after it will be more challenging. And the narrow end of the "egg".

And be ready to hit the brakes right at the #2 on the map. That element is specifically intended to slow you down, and will be laid out in such a manner as to do so.

I'm certainly not a fan of the pin turn, but the reward we get after it is more than worth any potential issues. Not that I really think there will be any. I sure as heck don't want it removed.

It ain't goin' nowhere. :) But, I promise that it will be carefully set up to be plenty wide enough to get any car through.

The alternative would be to turn the start 90 or 180 degrees... then everybody would have to do weird 3-point turns and other contortions to get lined up for the start. This is just easier. Simple line-up from the grid... and drive that bitch!

I'm always surprised when people quote me. I never thought of myself as being that quotable.

Yeah, I'm not complaining. I can't wait to drive it. Looks like it'll still be on the ole crappy tires though (still working on finding the right wheels). Going to drive it in deep and hope it sticks!

The weird thing is that this is one event off. Way too much time to think and adjust sway bars.

What would the clowns do if they just showed up and had to stay on course?

I like clowns. Normal people sorta suck.
