Okay.
Drew was "blissful" when he took away ST FTD from Mario by a smidgen in afternoon. (After Mario cleaned away all the pebbles.)

I was "blissful" when I finished 3rd of 8 with Shamu in S3.

Greg was "blissful" when he pulled a time a second better than Shamu and was no longer DFL in mod.

Lunch was awesome.

I watched as a guy sat in a Deck chair and it "decked" him right on his ass. That was so cool.

Brian learned what *Brian* really means.

Loren lost his voice and Grasshopper was bitch talking the master on the 4th run of S2. Priceless.

Oh and it didn't rain a single drop all day.

Last I saw the AWD crowd was "Play Misty for Me" on their 8 track.

Having a big V8 was almost like getting aids. They say there is a cure but it's spelled Miata.

Need to change subject line to TBD.

We had a few hours of chatter at Surf Shack after the event. Was able to post results from there, that was cool.

Here are the Results!

Pretty smooth event. The course was fun, but very challenging. The usual thanks to EVERYONE who helped make it happen!

We didn't get a drop of rain at the event today, but there were a couple of persistent puddles. Most people opted to go around them. Not Everybody.

And I got beat by my co-driver

Will post more soon but one thing: The thread title shows "Post Brooksville", might want to fix that, I scanned past it looking for the Post TBD, that's all.

Ugh. Cathy gave me her 400+ photos on a flash drive. I'll see if any of them are any good.

Ben put it together today, and I didn't. I got one clean run and it was 53.5. Ben matched that, and also turned a 53.3. :notworthy:

To hear people like Doug talk, you'd think this was a "Miata course" or something. The results tell a different story. In reality, it was simply a "driver's course". Grip didn't help much... sand is a great equalizer. You can't say it's a "small car course", look at the Camaro and the Subarus. You can't even say it's a "power course"... Kurtis managed to pull out a 51 in a stock-engined '97 Miata.

Top 10 Door-slammer times:
87 Ford Mustang 50.934
97 Mazda Miata 51.011
08 Pontiac Solstice 51.100
04 Subaru Wrx Sti 51.295
00 BMW M Roadster 51.604
13 Subaru BRZ 52.343
14 Chevy Camaro 52.443
06 Mazda Miata 52.574
10 Porsche Carrera C4S 52.758
13 Subaru STI 52.794

fun course and challenging, I gotta get better at getting faster in less runs, vs getting my fastest times around my 7th to 8th run...Im liking my current setup on my integra, and its fun driving with less power than the GTI.

I took a few pics during the first run group during the second half, not sure how long it will take me to edit them all, of course I could just upload all of them as is...

For some reason seeing the water there I was tempted to go through all four wheels at full speed, I dont know why lol.

My videos.

Okay, first video is BAD, I mean really bad. Lets make a game out of it: Lets count and see how many times I go off course. (a little swearin' going on)

http://youtu.be/eG94AxVvhWo

My last run, much improved.

EDIT: just wanted to point out that I didn't hit one cone on any of my runs... so yea..

Great FAST event as usual. Glad for the AC, nice facilities, and rain free day.

I think the comments for it was a "miata course" comes from the couple tight sections and the surface. The small slalom ending in a hard right was tight. The hard left after circling back around to the beginning of the second slalom was also very tight. It was also hard for the higher HP cars to put the power down on this surface.

However, the miata's suffer from the tight sections, too. Both of these "tight" corners required acceleration immediately after. Disadvantage to the miata's.

I thought it was a challenging environment and I enjoy it.

Here's my fastest raw: http://youtu.be/m3AC7dpMeGE

Here's my best excuses: New Car, New Tires, Bad Call on a hit but "not down or out" cone, Mario is a CHEATER, it was hot, blah blah blah blah blah
