Great fun, TBD was.

Really enjoyed the course-know the FAST team worked hard to make a safe, interesting layout with the obstacles (water and fence) and ended up with a nice mix. Wish we had more 'square' sites to emphasis loop backs and the like along with a very nice run duration.

It has to be the same pavement company that paved both SPC and TBD...I love it. Although thanks to Scott and the mighty leaf blower and all the sweeping that was done by the gang.

Awesome driving Drew...nice reality check for some of us...I mean how does an LX Mustang beat a AWD chassis...answer the nut behind the wheel.

Had a heck of a time out there! Didn't get the best time, but there was probably only .5 sec left in the tires so I feel ok with my results. I'll get my photos up tomorrow. Enjoying the end of LeMans then family time for Fathers Day! Great course, great friends, great food, and great day as always. Hope to make it to brooksville, but will certainly be at the next TBD event!

Fun day. Didn't wear sunscreen because it was supposed to be cloudy; got some 17th degree sunburns... Got to see a few people I hadn't seen in forever.

I can't seem to do much better than top 10, though. Looking at my video I see a few places where I should have carried more speed and used more of the width of the course..the u-turn after the start and the loopdy-loop for sure. And then I screwed up the turn-in after the loop too.

Oh well. It was fun!

Here's my best run. 52.5.

My new secret mods helped a lot. Went from 32nd place to 13th.
Still not fast enough though. Not sure what else I can do. Might need to try out some new springs and swaybars.
I did miss a lot of apexes, but I don't think that is going to give me the 1-2 seconds I still need.

Had a great time as always but didn't push hard enough on my last run and sucked more... ;-)

I would also like to thank GoPro for allowing me to record the first half of every run and/or the grid before choosing to stop recording. I don't know why this thing gives me so many fits...

As usual awesome event! This was indeed a drivers course, I've got alot to learn.
Observation...TBD seems to promote FAST well, lots of passer-bys. Working the registration table I talked and handed fast business cards to at least 5 sets of folks, and they seem sold. One dude ran with the Corvette club and claimed they were done for the season and looking for other events to run.

Yeah, Nathan. Being easily visible from the street, and easily "heard" by all of the people who live nearby, as well as all of the TBD regular patrons, we get fantastic exposure from being there. We're thinking of some ways to leverage that. The cards were definitely a start.

For anyone (which is probably nearly everyone) who doesn't know what we're talking about. Steve and I had a test run of some business cards made. They just have a bold slogan and logo (with website address) on the front, and a brief description of what autocross is on the back. The next revision of the card I'll be getting printed in bulk. Everyone should carry a few to have on-hand for the next time someone looks at you with a bewildered, but interested, blank stare when you mention autocross... you can give them a card to help explain and promote FAST.

Another great event and challenging course. Car could have been in the 51's, unfortunately the driver just wasn't up to the task :(

Here's my clean run of a 52.4.
http://youtu.be/_OH5caEAP_o

Here's my fastest run with a 52.0, but it was dirty :( I hit two in the funnel (by the tower) :(
http://youtu.be/223Ue8TI1wQ

Reviewing these i should have been more aggressive on the inner loop, and on my fastest i missed up the kink and late on turn in for the blind left handier. The blind corner was awesome as you really had to get your brake and turn in perfect to line you up for the next gate...nice challenge. The funnel leading up to this had me sucking in my breath to try to make my car as skinny as possible. Not that it worked, but you had to hit it perfectly to get through it...which i didn't on my last run.

Can't wait until the next one!

Oh...great job Drew! I never knew a foxbody could handle that well!

Season Points are updated.

I went ahead and shaded anyone who can't meet the "5 events in class" requirement to make it more obvious who is eligible. (Congratulations, Brian!) Several undecided classes, yet.

At least one tie for first, and several very close battles for second.

And at least one "points conundrum"... If Les doesn't have confidence that he can finish 1st or 2nd, he might be better off not running:
If he finishes first, his drop stays the same and he gains 9 points. Scott can't touch him.
If he finishes 2nd, his drop stays the same and he gains 6 points. Scott can't touch him.
If he doesn't run in-class, his drop goes from 6 to zero and he gains 6 points. Scott can't touch him.
If he finishes 3rd, his drop goes from 6 to 4 and he gains 2 points... if Scott finishes 1st, Scott will win.

(Sort of reads like one of those silly "new math" things, doesn't it?)

Awesome event! Great course and venue, although a little sandy.

Congrats to Tim for another great time. And, freaking Mario! Unbelievable run in an S class car! Also, congrats to Dave Scott. Getting the seat time and moving up in S1. Looking forward to the Evo school down at Sebring on Saturday!
