Towing the trailer for 08' ??
As most of you know, we are searching for a smaller/lighter trailer solution for the club.........
Most likely this trailer will not exceed ~ 1,500 - 1,750lbs fully loaded which comfortably fits within the class 1 towing ability. Most vehicles larger than a fullsize sedan should be rated to tow 2,000lbs.
How many of you out there would be able to assist with occasionally towing this new trailer to/from our events?
You should be compensated for gas and whatever else you need.....

If all goes to plan, the Flowers' tow vehicle will be UNavailable June, July, August (no event planned for August, anyway) and probably September. Also May is an unknown.
Other months we will probably be available for towing, as usual. Although sometimes my wife appreciates being able to sleep in and stay home instead of driving the tow vehicle, especially to Brooksville and particularly on Sundays.

The Jag complains about autoX by throwing Gearbox Faults.
I think it is just lazy.

Ok, we've got Brian good for the occasional SPC event, and Charles is up for it per his response here: http://www.kickflop.net/autocrossbb/vie" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... =3367#3367
That's wonderful, but 1 1/2 people willing to tow won't be enough...
and to repeat (also from the linked thread above), I'll offer a co-drive to whoever does tow the trailer, if their car is not available because of towing the trailer.

You might chuckle, but it's been done. When I was starting out, I knew a guy who autocrossed his daily driver -- a '72 Olds Delta 88 -- and regularly embarassed a few sports car drivers. And we had a '65 Continental show up for one event.Dave-ROR wrote:If I sell the S2K and SE-R, then I can tow it with the grand marq and autox that...

My first autox vehicle:

Once it had some good 225-50-15 tires mounted (and some tokicos), it was a 6-7th FTD 96hp monster with about 6 turns lock to lock
