Troy is due. Lots and lots of cone marks. And in need of a good buff & wax. Maybe when spring rolls around.

If washing my car made it faster, I'd do it more often. (and I'd be losing to a lot more people who have clean cars... :finger: )

I'm excited that there will be four Mini's there tomorrow. Still have three Mazdas in my class. Damnit. Well...I'll at least come in 4th or 5th depending on whether or not the other Mini beats me.

This will be my second race. The only person I care to beat is myself. I just want to improve and have a good time doing it. Also, can we bring food with us for everyone? I feel like baking today.

:lust: vs :bangwall:

Guys if you want to have a smile instead of a scowl when you leave to go autocrossing tomorrow you might want to note today's significance?

They still have a lot of nice things/cards/flowers/candy at Publix/WinnDixie and maybe a dinner out other than Wendy's? Ask me how I know that this morning. :snicker:

It's V day. Tomorrow you have to work really hard for a V tho'. This one is literally a piece of cake.

(Some of you should not look upon my Avatar ever again.) What no love?

Jamie is going topless again. All is right with the world. I can run but I cannot hide. He's Back!!

If you are around for the afternoon session, see if you can ride a lap with Keith. He is a very good driver who will likely put down a freat time in his Mini. I will be in an HS class (S5) Ford Fiesta ST in the morning, though I believe we will be running in S4 class. Should be a fun day!

Goodness, yes! Baked goods are always appreciated.

And be sure to watch Keith Robertson. He'll be driving a MINI Cooper (non-S) in S5 in the afternoon. He'll blow your mind with his ability to drive a slow car fast.

Baking as we speak. Goodies for all. Any food allergies I should know ahead of time?

I am REALLY looking forward to watching the other Mini's. I enjoy watching everyone but Mini's have a special place in my heart. Thus the excitement over others coming. As usual I am nervous. I probably always will be. I harbor a little anxiety speckled with some OCD issues. I get a little shaky going into anything I don't know well because of my desire to succeed and fear of failure.

Don't worry about success or failure at autocross. All of us started out somewhere, and all of us are still learning. Just have fun and try and stay warm tomorrow.

Now bummed will miss the goodies, but still thank you!

And as far as success/failure, showing up, driving, and having a blast is all that matters! 8-)

My weird no start condition popped back up again, so I now have a new distributor in. Added an extra degree of advance, so I'll have 1 degree more HP. That's probably a lot.
Also replaced big antenna with a dinky 6" antenna which is way more aero. Waaaay more.
So many mods, It's like I'm trying.

Why don't you guys just swap cars for a couple of runs instead? Save the "instructor runs" for actual instruction.

If we were both still classed M2, it would be no probalo. I suppose I could class up to M1 for one event to make it happen.

As long as you don't run faster in his car than you do in yours, it doesn't matter. Have them toss a cone on the run if it's your best run and you took it in a car that's not eligible for your class.
