Corbeau Forza Microsuede seats

Anyone use these or got opinions? Find a pair new in boxes still for $425 locally. They look good, I want some Sparcos, but they are $500 a piece.

I would never get another steel tube frame seat. They are heavy and uncomfortable. ~$200 is a normal price for these types of seats also.

Get something with a fiberglass shell.

weight doesnt seem that much more than the fibgerlass only a few lbs, but thats comparing it just other fixed corbeaus. What was umcomfortable about them in regards to steel frame?

The steel tube that runs along the front of the seat. It hits on the bottom of your thighs and usually makes a poor driving position. This was probably exaggerated in the 240 though, because of the way the seats tilt back.

A fiberglass seat will just have a pad there that can be removed or altered.

Let me know how they fit your F-Body. I would like to get some for my rustang, but afraid it would end up like the ones in the 240.

Real race seats come in a variety of styles and each style has a size. There are a lot of knock offs, and even from companies that have good seats they also have some less expensive and uncomfortable seats. If this is for a daily driver a real race seat will probably be unlivable. if not , the key is to sit in it and see how it fits. Look on the company website and it will give the dimensions of each style and size. I bought 9 different seats on e bay and resold all but the one I liked. I did this because no store has a good selection of seats and sizes around here. There was a good article a few years ago I think in Grassroots Motorsports where they had 5 different people sit in 10 seats and compare them, but I can't find the article.

Well I picked up the sparco fighter from my friend. Its fine for me. I sat at over at his place just watching tv in it for a few hours and didnt bother me. Now I gotta buy some brackets and sliders.
