Can't say enough about the folks who volunteered to work course today! I hope all of this year's students remember their efforts and step up to volunteer when THEIR help is needed in the future.
Awesome school today! Everything went according to plan, and I think a lot of people learned a lot about autocross driving. Good stuff.
Me? I sat in the shade all day and talked for 6 hours. Doesn't sound like much, but I'm exhausted!

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

Loren thinks talking is work... HA!
seriously, I am VERY impressed by the talent that I saw today, at least in the intermediate group, there are some drivers that will just be amazing. look out experienced guys!
I found out today that 'ol clockwork orange is broken.. I need to nurse her back to health (AND SPEND SOME MONEY) before competing so I'm going to miss everyone tomorow.
I talked to a few people about helping them get instruction in a track environment, feel free to email me ltclloyd@yahoo.com this season is still open as far as most of my instruction weekends, but I bet it will fill up quick. so if you are interested, get with me and set up a weekend. I'll deal with the club for you and set up a fast track schedule.

Yep, huge kudos to all the technical assistants and instructors. You all worked your butts off today (and your legs, too...), and helped the event run beautifully! We only had a few last minute adjustments, and a few substitutions over the course of the day, and everyone handled them seamlessly! Well done, everyone!
Some good new talent out there for sure, and from where I stood most of the day, it was obvious the students not only were getting great instruction, but were also able to apply it - and that's what it's all about.
I'm really looking forward to some tight competition tomorrow - should be a blast!

Thanks to all you guys, instructors and workers, for taking the time out to give me a hand to be a little more competitive!
I can certainly say I enjoyed the school, and had quite a bit of fun... Though doing the figure 8 for 45 minutes got kinda old, it was fun to make it interesting by seeing how long you can hang the rear end of the car out on the back end
I hope everyone had as much fun as I did

Thanks to ALL of the Instructors, Courseworkers and Coordinators over the course of the school. IT was a BLAST and I know a lot of us learned A LOT! I had a great time and was really able to apply everything I was tought to help with the competition on Sunday! I may not have scored in the top but I saw improvement over every run and I owe that completly to all of the instructors and their help! I hope to be at many more events and put up a good fight every time!!!
Thanks again!!!
Thanks again!!!

I had a great time, (except for when my car had a little "hicup"), just like going to regular school, it's going to take another week for all the instruction to sink into my brain. I have some really bad habits I need to break, so hopefully in the next couple events I can work them out.

I didn't want to get any more cones under my car... the last Brooksville one got stuck on my cat... and I smelled burning plastic for the better part of 3 days after thatJamie wrote:Yeah, yeah...it took us 45 minutes to get you close enough to the cones to hit a few....deadmeat wrote:Though doing the figure 8 for 45 minutes got kinda old....
