Car number reservations

Postby Native » Mon Jan 15, 2007 11:32 pm

The plan is to sell numbers for the season - reserve yours, and you are set for the year with the number of your choice (except 37  ). The details are in the process of being worked out.

The effort will be coodinated by our beloved past-director Dan Rasp, along with Rob Edwards, and whoever else they draft to help out (and I do thank them for their support).

Is it safe to assume my $50 donation reserved #74 for me? :)

I want to snag my #11. And, it would be convenient to snag #1 for my co-driver, Jeff.

I'd also like to speak up for Howard Sharf. His schedule doesn't allow him to get out as much as he'd like to, but he DOES store the trailer for us at no charge, so we should cut him some slack. Howard is #85.

Recap for Dan:
#11 Loren Williams
#1 Jeff Lloyd
#85 Howard Sharf

#55 was my fathers number in his racing days. I like it also.

I'm still working out how payment will be made for number reservations, in the meantime, we'll use this thread as a way of grabbin' "dibs" until the system is worked out. . .

WONDERFUL pix Pilgrim. Thanks for posting them. "Olde Tyme" sporty cars are the best!

Since I'm not sure who you are, could anyone who reserves their # here please post your name as well so that I can start my list. . . :D

FWIW, 85 is "taken" by a person with magnetic numbers (brand new person).

They have not officially reserved the number though. Just sayin...

The story behind this car is that Carroll Shelby bought the car from my father. It was an AC Ace. Carroll placed a Ford engine in it and that was the start of the shelby's. He also bought the AC factory. AC is Auto Carrier company. AC also replaced their engines with the engine out of the Frazers which had the bristol engine in them. AC Bristol was born. Just a little history for ya.

Would that be user 85ST20MR2? He had #85 on his MR2.... since it's a '85 MR2.
