March 26 - FAST Classic @ Tampa Greyhound Track

Postby Loren » Thu Mar 03, 2016 11:52 pm

We're still learning our way around the dog track site, and we're trying something completely different time. The course should be an absolute blast to drive!

This is a Classic event, which means fewer entries, more runs and no formal novice instruction. We do require all entrants to have competed in at least 3 prior autocross events so that they sort of know what they're doing. And don't forget that our new sound restriction will be fully enforced.

Registration is open until March 23, but you know how it goes. Sometimes these events fill up early.

Guest registration is not required unless said guests want to partake of lunch with us. We won't buy lunch for you if we don't know you're coming!

Stupidly scheduled an eye doctor appointment that same day at 10:45 am before realizing this. If I get out early I might see if I can drop by just to watch and take pictures.

Course is approved. Posting it is on my list of things to do later tonight. If you were at 'FAST Monday' right now, I could show you on my phone. ;)

If i give you my phone number could you text a screenshot?

Also, we will be putting the insight's tires on the civic for this event. I believe that will bump it to M4 from S5? The tires are 205 wide tires.

Tires aren't a modification for our purposes. Just moves you to S4.

There is a tire width limit in S5 (and in M4). So, in this one instance, he is correct, you can't run wider than 195 tires in S5.

With an S5 car on 205's, you could bump up to S4 (clearly stated in the rules, y'all, look it up!), or you could go "Mod" and run M4, where the width limit is 205.

So, after UPS lost my first shipment, my 2nd set of fuel lines were to be delivered yesterday. Apparently, massive flooding is keeping them on the wrong side of the Mississippi.

Ben referred to "a most triumphant return" which to me sounded like a vlictory. :dunno:
