For your amusement, skip to the 1 minute mark in this video for footage from the 1997 MirrorKhana!

MirrorKhana was the source event for the FAST Duel, right down to most of the rules. MK was an annual event from about 1973 through 2003, now it is an "occasional" event run by Salina Region SCCA in Kansas. That's me in the blue Saturn... about my 2nd year of autocrossing. (recorded on TAPE with a handheld VHS-C camcorder... long before smart phones... long before YouTube) If you look closely, you can see my two sacrificial cones. Double-coned apex of a tight 90-degree right-hander. Taking them out with the left side of the car allowed for a healthy rounding of that turn.

I must be a Prophet? Dan only lost once to me out of three times in the Grey Whale. Go Dan E. Someone help him find some tires for next season. M2 might be his? He only lost twice to the Mayor and Elliot. DOH.
