My oem type r springs would disqualify me from s5 since the type r is a different class under scca and fast classing? Outside of the front camber kit and bilsteins, the rest of my car is all oem honda...
But the lack of competition in S5 I prefer running in m4, its a fun group to run against. Though it's been tempting to prep the beater automatic civic I have for stock class prep and try to finish midpack lol

Stock Springs Question
This has zip to do with the thread it was posted in, so split it to a new topic.
Springs in stock: If they were available on the specific model of car that you have as a factory option, they are fine. If they were only available on a special edition, not as an option, then no. So, in your case, the Type R springs were never available as a factory option on anything that wasn't a Type R. We hit the same thing with Miatas and Mazdaspeed Springs. Not available as a factory option on YOUR car, no-go for stock.
Your car should be a good fit for M4. S5 is turning into a very fun place to play, though. Do more with less.

Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.
