Looks like fun, clearly to me, the "don't F this part up" is at station 5, slow in fast out for the fastest part of the course.

We've got about 5.5 days of registration left. Early Session is almost full, but plenty of room in the Late Session.

Be sure all of your friends get registered!

I was particularly fond of that course last time, I'll have to remember not to take my medication before this upcoming race.

I'm going to show up in the morning to see just how fast David is without coffee. Actually I have to be at a birthday party in the PM. Clown jobs are hard to come by in Sarasota since Ringling is laying them all off. First the elephants and now the clowns. :whine:

I've figured out one reason the Miata's been getting its ass kicked the last couple of events...it's not attached to the rest of the car. The lower tongue on the PPF is cracked clean through where it attaches to the differential. No catastrophe -- it's just another bolt-on part -- but I probably won't have a replacement before this event. In that light, I am taking offers (begging) for competitive rides (anything that runs) in S4 (or any other class starting with a letter and ending in a number). Can supply tires, if 15" Miata wheels will fit, or $ for the tire dust I create. The only thing I ask is that the front end be attached to the back.

Okay that's fair. Now if it rains you are taking a 50% hit on your times right? I've spent way too much time in the weeds with this car in the Monsoon. Might have to get a high speed Deere weed cutter bar for the long ago destroyed original bar.

Are you running early or late? You're welcome to co-drive with me if you want but I'm in the late session.

Edit: I will make sure to check my PPF before the event.

Well you're welcome to co-drive!

OR...

You can go up early, hit one of the Miata salvage places up there, and swap the PPF at the airport. :-)

Jamie, Julianne will be running in the afternoon in her '94 NA in S4. She'd likely get a lot from a co-drive, but she'll be on her street tires so I don't know how competitive the car would be for you. The seat is there if you need it though.
Racing... because golf only requires one ball.

I considered a used PPF...but after looking at a couple, decided that I should cough up the $ for a major structural piece. It's not like I didn't get my money's worth from the first one.

Hmm.... If I didn't need to make up lots of points on both Philip and Jason, that would be tempting. Maybe jump in for a run if I'm doing well. Or the June Classic, if she goes.

The car will be in "SCCA legal-ish" trim... Stock rear sway bar swapped back on, wind blocker reinstalled...

Still technically illegal due to an aftermarket cat, and missing power antenna and tape player, but pretty close...

I'll have to remember to protest that and the illegal driver mod with the SCCA :-D
