Aug 26 FAST Annual Picnic and Awards Party
Well, the 2016-17 season has come to an end, the points have been tallied, and now it's time for our annual picnic/bbq, at Philippe Park in Safety Harbor. We'll be at Shelter #7, which is near the Indian mound. The park itself is located at 2525 Philippe Parkway, just North of Safety Harbor.
We're going to kick things off around 11am and "officially" wrap up around 2pm. But, we have the shelter rented for the whole day, so you're welcome to stick around if you like!
We'd like to know how many to expect, and as in the past, it's a pot-luck kinda thing, so we'd also like to know what you may be bringing along (not a requirement, but if possible, please do). FAST will supply the main course, which could most likely, probably, be burgers, brats/dogs, fixings, drinks, and we'll also have all the plastic and paperware.
All the info is here:
https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/fa ... ark-047019
So, please check out the MR.com page, register (it's free) to let us know you're coming, and what you may be bringing if you will. And while you're at it, post up here too, so we all know what (and who) to expect!
The latest who's bringin' what: (updated 8/22/2017)
FAST - Drinks, Burgers, Pork, Chicken + buns and fixin's
Chips
Dave Williams
Eric Meucci
Veggie dish:
Ron Rice - Baked Beans

Gonna beg my wife to bake cookies. I'm thinking chocolate chip or oatmeal raisin.

What a great event and location for those that missed out last year, unfortunately I'll be in Nashville that weekend. Save me some of those chocolate chip cookies!

Signed up with Maria. Will be bringing something very cold for another hot day. Probably Italian Ice or whatever else we discover that will stay cold all afternoon.

And our very own Dan Estep has agreed to handle the menu for this shindig. We're in for a treat!

Dan is a serious foodie. Worth coming to the party just to eat some of Dan's cooking!

How can Dan cook if they don't allow beer/wine at the park to flavor it?
All I can say is the little I could eat of all the great food last picnic. Steve's burgers, Loren's Brats, Ron's chicken, Joe's roast corn, baked beans to fart for all that fruit and desserts were all awesome. Allow time to sit and digest it all. I used my new t shirt to cover up the spills on my old one:)

Hopefully this weekend folks will make some plans.
I must say, I've previewed the menu...it's quite nice!
