Re: Kenny
The only time there's a generator is if someone brings it -- Rob or I have brought them in the past. It's not necessary for the timer -- the internal battery has been good for a complete event previously. (Loren or Dan probably have a better idea of battery life.) I'm willing to bring my generator again -- might be able to convince my wonderful wife to get up early with me and follow me to Brooksville with the minivan. If not, someone with more cargo space than a Miata will have to help me move the genny.Alizarin wrote:I'll probably roll in around 8 to set up the timer and get my tires swapped (if needed). Almost up to the last minute. I sent January's entries to Loren two days prior for printing. He wants to hand that job off to someone else, but we need someone with MS Access to use the form design he has. Or if we can develop something running straight from an MS Excel spreadsheet, I can print them the night before.BTW, Jamie (I guess its you I ask?)... up until what date can I still change my classing entry? I'd rather do it before they get printed up/entered into software/whatever, just wondering...
FWIW, I expect to be on travel some or all of the week prior to the event, with uncertain 'Net access, but Steve can dump the file from MAE as well.

Big thanks to everyone who has volunteered so far.
We can pull a table and chairs out of the trailer at the gate if you two want to do registration there. We will have to be able to bring them back to the trailer when finished. Bill, we'll make sure you get time for tire swappping.

There's a generator in the trailer, but it hasn't been started in about 3 years. Needs some maintenance for sure.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.

After trying all my favorite car numbers during registration only to find they were all taken I finally picked:
7734
Think of how the digits might be formed (more blocky, like a 7-segment display), then read them upside down. Kinda says what I was mumbling every time my fave car numbers were rejected!

You could have always done 8008. Or even 1337! (don't try to read that one upside down)WAFlowers wrote:After trying all my favorite car numbers during registration only to find they were all taken I finally picked:
