Looking at M2 in the late session... Looks like 4 people registered in the same car? How's that going to work?

2 per run group, I'd imagine. It's been done before.

Seriously, though... get in the habit of never even thinking about 3rd until AFTER you've verified that the course puts you on the rev limiter for too long. If you're getting a good 3 seconds or more on the rev limit, then you can start thinking about where to shift.
You probably WILL hit 3rd on the outgoing side of this course. Not as much as you might think, though. This course was lifted from Feb 2017... and we made it shorter and slightly tighter on the outgoing side. It's still fast, but not as fast as it was.

Just registered. The Z is still on jackstands. I have to replace the clutch hydraulics, flush the radiator/engine coolant, rubberize undercoating the front wheel wells, install an air/oil separator, do a valve adjust, and a couple other random things I'm sure I am forgetting. This autocross is a deadline for me!

Looking forward to this one. Course looks fun! Need more practice on the new setup. Also giving these Federals one last thrashing before I order a new set.

You need a higher gear OD rear end in that thing so your right hand doesn't have to hover over the shifter like a UFO rowing those two gears OR run some TALL tires in the rear. I have a 3.42:1 that goes to 78mph in 2nd and a 4.78:1 that only goes to 68mph - both with 1" dia. short tires. With taller stock tires they will go 80+ and 70+mph in second gear. I looked up that course from 2017 (from my personal tire pressure/shock settings library) and Jason WRX beat me by .1sec dirty and .4sec clean that time with my RX-8. I think he's undefeated in 2018 even with 3 drops.
Will be cool to run a similar course with the Vette on fat tires (and brakes) against a co-driven Lotus/Stalker. Once again I'm pretty sure I'll have the only R1 car actually driven to the event. I love that people keep showing up in R1 in decent numbers! Elliot has all ready qualified for a t-shirt by completing his 5th sticker!! Whoa.

So I googled myself with keyword "autocross" and found, what appears to be, my first autocross (feb 17th 2008) in my Prelude SH (man, I miss that thing). Im glad it took me until recently to get into autocross, I dont think I would of learned as much then (I wasnt as conscience of performance driving). and all the recent years of SIM racing helps a bunch too. Wish I could remember that day...

Elliot has hit all of the points events this season so far. It's almost like he's trying.
Ron Croft. There's a lot going on with Ron. Busy professional. Too many hobbies. Two young children at home. Pick one.

Someone is excited to play with their ohlins. Were you able to get it aligned after the swap?

Wouldn't that be best for mid-corner speed?CaptainSquirts wrote:ImpostorDan wrote: Sat Feb 03, 2018 9:23 pmMayyyybe?CaptainSquirts wrote:Someone is excited to play with their ohlins. Were you able to get it aligned after the swap?

Scuderia Tartaruga Nera is bringing some big, exciting upgrades this weekend! (He said with heavy sarcasm.)
Looking forward to embarrassing myself at the turnaround!

The two things you can no longer do this weekend.
Get a ticket for the Billie Joel concert or go to the Brooksville FAST autocross event.
Both are sold out.

Do we get any more details on "special training event involving livestock "?
Dunellon set the bar pretty high with the free airshow.
Brooksville better send it.
Not just a dog and pony show.

Word is that we were misled. The other event was a few weeks ago. There should be nothing going on Saturday other than our autocross.
(what they were doing was some kind of emergency livestock transport training or something... no idea what that means, ask Soraya)
