No, that would make the oil change color, usually white, thinning oil is usually gasoline. Could be leaky injectors.

That was my thought, but the oil has no abnormal scent to it. It does change color, but it turns grey. It's gotta be either fuel or water though, there's no third option that I know of.

Probably water. head gasket, head, something like that. There is a 2004 RX8 for $800.00. I posted it on one of Philip's facebook posts.

That engine isn't long for this world, anyway. It's still got bits of broken valve rocker floating around in it. We find more pieces every time we look. (we think it may have been a chunk of metal that wedged itself against the rear main seal inside the engine and caused the recent leak that we had)

Best bet: Swap the engine.

Bonus points: Put a bigger engine in it... it needs to be done.

If EVER there was a perfect start for the Grassroots $2018 Challenge next October - FASTIVA is it. For scrap purchase price one could pretty much go nuts on the driveline.

It's got a FL title so you can actually drive it to Gainesville!!

If I could find a rear ended/t boned Mazdaspeed3 I wonder what Ben would charge me to bolt that FWD driveline into the Fastiva? God would that be scary fun or what?
