Can't wait to see (and hear) some boosted action out on course. When do you think you will have it back in action?

With my car, yeah I would be in M2 but there is heavy consideration right now for A-A-Ron and I to co-drive the kart next season. At the moment that seems to be the car I'm going to be running. That doesn't mean I won't be autocrossing my miata though.
Thanks Dan! I'm starting the install tomorrow after work. The pics from before was for test fitting. I got the intercooler mocked up and I got the piping figured out. Also had to clock the turbo and make a custom wastegate bracket so I'm glad I did the mock up. I have a couple of things I need to grab before the install but other than that, I plan to drive the car to work on Mondaydbeng wrote: Wed Jul 17, 2019 8:28 pm Looking good Andrew![]()

Well, the cat's put of the bag. It's in and it's AWESOME! I see why people like boosted Miatas, and I'm only getting started. Got everything in and buttoned up over the weekend. The install didn't go as smoothly as I wanted it to but it could've been worse. I got everything installed and went out for a drive to find out I had a terrible vibration that was coming from the downpipe hitting the steering shaft, or the subframe, or the unibody
A hammer has helped but hasn't remedied the problem. It only happens when I really get on it. It's not terrible now but it is noticeable. I'll try and fix it before Saturday morning but either way I'm gonna run it
Anyways, here's a shot from the end of the day on Saturday
I kept blowing intercooler pipes off because of the joint at the compressor housing but I got a different coupler and that solved that problem. That was probably one of the more frustrating parts of this endeavor, aside from the vibrations. All in all though, I am in love with this car again. All miatas should be boosted!

Are your stock engine mounts filled with oil like mine are? Mine leaked out. Had to replace. You might want to put a solid limiter from engine to fender like I used to do on my old Fords with stock mounts.

I have the slightly stiffer Mazda comp mounts that are found in the Mazdaspeed miatas. They're solid rubber, no oil
