FAST Monday - August 19 - Craft Street

Postby Loren » Sun Aug 18, 2019 9:14 pm

A little late making this post this week. Hopefully, you'll show up, anyway. And you'll reply below so that we know you're coming.

Craft Street has a great Monday special, a half-pound burger for $5.95. You can't beat it! And if you want something different, their regular menu and their monthly specials are full of variety and goodness.

Please post if you're coming... they don't do reservations, but it's handy to know how many people to expect so that we can snag a table with the right amount of seats!

We'll be on the patio from 7:00pm until we decide to leave, or they turn the lights off.

I can be early this Monday if anyone wants. 6pm or so.

Craft Street has a new dessert special! And, of course, I tried it today.

They had the "Barista Bomb", which was a chocolate cake with espresso ice cream, and some other creamy stuff topped with a hard chocolate shell and covered with caramel. Pretty awesome, and I don't even like coffee.

The new one is a variant of that. Instead of coffee, it's strawberry ice cream, some kind of almost marshmallow cream, caramel inside, the same chocolate shell... and a tart raspberry sauce that REALLY works with it. I think the chocolate cake may have a touch of espresso in it, it tastes sort of like the other one did, just enough to bring the chocolate flavor to the top. Cathy and I had a hard time finishing this one. But, we did.

I won't be eating it again anytime soon, either. :thumbwink:

To attempt to accomodate that bazillion carb dessert, I had a salad for lunch, and another salad for dinner yesterday! Ketosis went right out the window yesterday.

Good to see you guys yesterday and thanks for the conversation. Sorry/not sorry if I got a little heated with Trump talk. He really brings the best out of us. :fib:
