How's it going?

I was directed here by a member, I think her name is Jean? drives a Miata.

Anyway, I'm a grease monkey at Saturn of Port Richey, I'm into drag racing, and have always wanted to try auto X. I don't have a car set up for twisties yet, but I'll work on that.

I see that you guys enjoy the Tampa Bay Grand Prix (that's the electric ones, right?)....I love that place. I've only been twice, but had a blast each time. Maybe I'll meet you next time you have an event there.

That would be great.

Or just come to a regular autocross. Next one is 10/4 in St. Petersburg.

What Steve said. No special preparation is required to autocross. You can autocross any car that's safe. Doesn't matter how slow it is, you'll have fun and learn from it and that's what it's all about.

So, come on out! It's not what you drive, but how you drive it... so says the guy driving the Toyota Yaris.

The "Push Harder, Suck Less" philosophy explained:
Push Harder - Drive as close to the limit of your tires as possible.
Suck Less - Drive something resembling a proper racing line.
