I would be honored if you put some runs on the snotsucker and provide some feedback on setup

This sounds very cool - maybe it'll get opened up to the public =)

Ever since the new registration rules I've been running SCCA most every month =(

Time will tell...

What's wrong with your Miata?
It's slow.
So is the driver!

I don't want to use my race tires for a non-points event and I have all season tires for the street. I don't have the patience to autox my car on all season tires.

Okay, second round of invitations has been sent. Anyone who has attended three or more FAST autocrosses in the past 12 months should have received an invitation.

A total of 79 invitations have gone out, entry is limited to 48 drivers, and 22 are registered as of right now. There will be no on-site registration at this event, pre-registration is REQUIRED so that the tournament brackets can be set up. Go do it!

Alright, I just registered. Pretty "simple" looking course, which means it should be a good drive and a fun time!

Simple, yes. But, in keeping with the tradition of the original MirrorKhana course that was designed in the early 70's before the SCCA created the Solo II rulebook and things like the "gates must be a minimum of 15 feet wide" rule... the course may be a tad more challenging than it first appears. Yellow_Colorz_PDT_02

(if you have a particularly wide car, you may want to spray it with Teflon)

(don't panic, the whole course won't be tight... but don't be surprised to see a 12' gate or two to keep you on your toes)

By the way... good news regarding bumping for this event:

With just half the slots filled, we already have most of the potential bumps taken care of. As expected, there's one race tire class so far (2 A-class cars and one R-class, no B or C class cars). Every other class except for F is well-defined enough to stand on its own. So, bring on some more stock S2000's to fill out F!!

Status Report:

We're up to 30 entries, only 18 slots left and the deadline is a little over a week away. No whining about missing your slot because you didn't get registered early enough!

Class F is rounded out now, so no bumping except for the Race tire classes (A, B, C and R will currently be lumped together unless a bunch more race tire guys sign up... and we don't HAVE a lot of race tire guys).

Lookin' good so far.

I'm not sure if Tom has been to an event since the classes changed, so I think we can give him a free pass on that one.

I'm not playing classing police, I don't care what class people run in. But, if anyone wants any classing to be changed, please get it done BEFORE registration closes. I'd rather not by monkeying around with bracket changes the day of the event.

The deadline for registration is officially TOMORROW, but I'm going to extend that to Monday. Register this weekend, or forever hold your peace!

So far, only 32 have registered... a figure which really surprises me. This event is usually a LOT more popular than that. Are you guys afraid of a little competition, or what?

Requests are being accepted for non-members who would like to be invited to compete. Minimum experience of three autocrosses is required.
