It was fun. Great event and an even better group. Great Runs all Day, and the rain stayed away. Nice.
Much much fun was had. Let's do this again.
No biggie, I don't think anyone was taking today too seriously. Run enough of these and the "basics" become second nature to you. Every final match consists of one undefeated driver from the winner bracket, and one hard-fought recovery from the loser bracket. If the "winner" loses, he has to lose twice.Dave-ROR wrote:Doh, yeah we just followed the brackets, didn't even think to count to make sure they had 2 losses

Can't wait for the next event
Oh and Cherry Coke kick arse.
That wasn't our fault, we didn't score that group. 8)Dave-ROR wrote:Doh, yeah we just followed the brackets, didn't even think to count to make sure they had 2 losses
Huh? I did what I was told: there were 3 people left, 2 against each other and the winner against the 3rd as I recall.Loren wrote:Damn, Brian, you're right... now that I think of it, I put untrained, untested and frickin' BLIND Bill Flowers in charge of the brackets for the final rounds. I screwed the pooch on that one.
You looked great out there. Good drivingchimmike wrote:An awesome event, and I'm thankful I could participate.
Jack, mark my words, you're going down! (sometime. Probably not soon, but eventually!)
Had a blast. Really enjoyed the course, really felt like I improved my skills and got a better understanding of my car's responses and balance.
That's why I said *I* screwed the pooch, not "Bill screwed the pooch". I shouldn't have put you in that position. Only reason I did was that you happened to be there talking about your knee bugging you as I was looking for Ron to do the job I roped you into. My brain was pretty fried by the end of the day (as if it wasn't as the beginning of the day) and I didn't think it through.WAFlowers wrote:Huh? I did what I was told: there were 3 people left, 2 against each other and the winner against the 3rd as I recall.Loren wrote:Damn, Brian, you're right... now that I think of it, I put untrained, untested and frickin' BLIND Bill Flowers in charge of the brackets for the final rounds. Of course I was so confused (and without my reading glasses) that I could very well have misunderstood the instructions.
