Fire or not, the event chairs have already made the call on lunch (behind the scenes).

They said we're getting pizza from Paulo's one day (Carl), and Cuban from Cuban Delight Cafe (Kenny - Best of the Bay, folks) the other. I'm not sure which is Saturay and which is Sunday...Carl, Kenny?

We can sure take Ron up on his offer next time - maybe. I'll find out from SPC about fire the next time I need to email them about something.

I am so stoked about this event...( is it still hip to say "stoked?")

I dunno, I think rad sort of suits Steve. However, there used to be this BMX book (sorta like the Berstein Bears) that I would read as a kid, and they used knarly a lot. I would say that makes it cool.

The most important thing though, is if we have any volunteers for towing the trailer. It can be towed down to the site Friday evening, and then removed Sunday evening... Bueller?

Hah, honestly, I'm probably more of a "nifty" and "swell" kinda guy (duh).

Bill, what a major pita...I'd be losing my mind if I were in your shoes. Again, good luck to you in getting it all straightened out. I'm sure towing the trailer is probably not high up on your list of concerns, but we sure do appreciate your keeping us informed.

It's a pull behind smoker. If it's safe to drive down I-275 cooking food (like a lot of those guys do), I think the risk to us or the SPC property is non-existent.

"Fire" is a bad bad word, that's best not to use when talking to gov'ment types. It makes them feel like they need to exercise some authority.

"BBQ" is a family friendly word, and those gov'ment types often salivate when they hear it.

Use "BBQ" brought onsite by a caterer with a tow-behind smoker, then invite the person you are speaking with to join us. If they give you any grief, he can set up just outside the fence, or in the parking lot, and bring it over.... If the group wants to use him.

Hi guys, just signed up for the autox on sunday. Most of the time I autox with the BMW and PCA clubs so this will be my first FAST event, sounds like fun

I wish their specs would quote max camera weight. I've got a DVX100a (and a 2nd on the way) that takes awesome footage esp. with my Century Optics wide angle, but it starts to get rather heavy. That wide angle lens alone weighs more than some consumer cameras! :shock:

Is there any chance that it would be more enticing to split up the trailer delivery/pickup? Maybe someone could drop it off Friday night and someone different could do Sunday afternoon for the return trip?

I would too except that I have great faith that it will all work out as it should. My problem is I don't know how it should work out.
