Great event!

Carl did an excellent job on a nice course (within the confines of SPC). The sweeping turns were fun and the tight ones continued to be a challenge I never figured out.

Scott/Mary: thanks for the videos! First time I've seen my car from outside on a run! Can I bother you for a email copy as well?

I don't understand people bitching about people bitching.

This is a discussion forum. You see it as bitching, I see it as discussions. :)

Thanks for the compliment - I had a blast, and actually enjoyed working with first timer Steven Cuculich just as much as I enjoyed driving. It was very rewarding to see him learning, and transition from clueless cone killer into fearless master (well at least journeyman), of his neighbor's car.

He was late into his set when he got that sparkle in his eye, finally feeling like he could competently explore the McKimian pathway created for his driving pleasure, much to the relief of those forthright and stalwart orange soldiers standing tall, dauntless beacons, fearlessly guiding us all to our rather temporal goals.

I too feel the need to comment on Ron's awesome driving. (Especially on 205s) Wow!
(* I over heard Ron offering to sell Bob his wheels before the event. Half way through our runs I told Bob about Ron's times, and suggest that he buy those wheels. *)

Oh, and I just love to watch Tim throw around that Corvette. Sounds great, and looks great too.

I forgot to mention that I love the huge display screen. It's great how it displays your last time and best time so far. If possible it would be cool to add one more column showing your time off of FTD (not just our class).

There's a section at the top of the screen that shows the top FTD for all classes combined. So all you have to do is a little math and you'll have it. :)

Perhaps, but I noticed, for someone "new" at this you drove quite well.. I was unable to find more time in the car, but you did! awesome! Now a swaybar or two and some good rubber will knock another 2 seconds off that car.. since in the power department it's fine.. but the grip department. it's miserable. just too much wallow and no way to get the car to rotate. even with only one rear tire I tried coming into the big sweeper way too hot and trail breaking and it STILL just gripped in the rear and washed out the front. I'd bet it's a great setup for gravel, but for tarmac.. I'm not digging it.

I actually liked the way my car handled better on that course.. granted, I was also on $40 a piece street junk rubber, even with a complete inability to put power down. I was only ~2 seconds slower in the sentra.

treekiller wrote:While not an Issue for myself I think it's imperative we add capability for those that still want to go to church the ability to run during sunday's events. late/early registration, off group running, enough were it can't be taken advantage of especially.. I felt bad Bill showed up to pull the trailer.. (that's enough of a worker assignment in itself) but could not run. for the last 2 points events.. Glad to hear he had a blast at the endurocross, but still.. I think with the numbers starting to thin a bit we can afford to make some accommodations for people who have Sunday morning commitments.
Guys, Jeff wasn't complaining, or at least not on his own behalf. I'm flattered that he spoke up for me and I appreciate it.

However, if I felt it was an issue I'd just put my foot down and tell you that you could find someone else to tow the trailer on the Sundays when I have to serve at church. Either that or find some way for me to run in the afternoon.

Hmmm ...

Changing our whole way of doing things is entirely different from making an exception for the person who dutifully ensures that our equipment is delivered to 90% of our events. A job that few are equipped to do, and almost nobody else wants to deal with.

I'm sure Steve would be more than happy to let you run whenever you show up, Bill! Problem solved.
