Looking for RV storage
We may be buying an RV (gently used) but whether we look at a Class C (box on truck chassis, generally with a bed or storage over the cab) or a class B (smaller, van-like, often mistakenly called van-conversion but actually start out as panel trucks) depends on a number of factors.
The interior space of a Class C would be nice however we can't store one at our house. A Class B we can park in our driveway.
Does anyone know of inexpensive RV storage? I'm finding places around $150+ per month which I'm not willing to pay! Or does anyone here live where an RV could be discretely parked and is willing to let me pay you a modest monthly fee? (PM me if so)
I've got a friend outside Plant City with a farm, but I'm hoping for something closer.
We are going to look at a few models tomorrow. If we find the right one then the SUV will be up for sale.

Re: Looking for RV storage
There is some space on the east side of the shop water and electricitcy included when you need it I'll do it for $125 if that's the going rate there is waste water disposal also. Plus I'm there till 8:00 most nights. Otherwise it's behind barbed wire. And I'll give you a gate key. I also have video/audio monitoring although I'm not utilizing it 100%

Re: Looking for RV storage
Thanks Jeff but what I'm looking for is cheap storage nearer me. I have the possibility of almost free storage out in Plant City. If I was willing to pay commercial rates I can store it a few blocks from home.
I'm cheap!
I need storage for almost 4 weeks starting later this week then it will be gone from early June until after Labor Day.
If I can't find storage nearby for a reasonable rate then the club will have to find someone else to tow the trailer in the Fall; we won't have a convenient tow vehicle any more.

The Flowers may be able to tow in the future but only if we can store this cheaply someplace closer than Plant City:

Re: Looking for RV storage
Thanks Scott. When you see it you'll think it is only a year or, at most, two old. But it is a 2000! It drove like new (or better): no rattles, no rolls, no weird vibrations. Just smooth and controlled the way it should be.

Re: Looking for RV storage
Hey Bill, the Minnreg building across the street from Honeywell (on 126th) does RV storage, you might want to check them out. A quick google search turned up this link with their prices, but I dunno how current that is. That's convenient, right? I mean, you work just down the street and all.

Re: Looking for RV storage
I know of it but dismissed it because I thought it was only available to current or former Honeywell employees. However the rates are good and, as you pointed out, the location is very convenient so I will check. Thanks!

Well I'm flexible Bill.. I just figured if you were paying that much anyway.. for 1 month is $50 what you wanted to pay?

Re: Looking for RV storage
Jeff, I really do appreciate the offer (and it is a very good one) however I was able to secure storage close by for a very fair price. Having the RV nearby makes it much easier for us to continue to be the primary tow vehicle for the club.
So the Flowers will be back in the towing business after their summer break! All we have to do is work out the electrical connection; the trailer has a flat-4 plug and the RV has one of those circular outlets. I'm sure I can buy an adapter somewhere. (If you know where I can get one please let me know.)

Re: Looking for RV storage
Online I found a 7-blade to 4-flat pin adapter that has LED's for brake and turn indicator function. That way I'll know if the signal is at the end of the adapter when the trailer lights don't work. It isn't even expensive!

Re: Looking for RV storage
Yup, that's the one I have for the Burban. I got it from Walmart a couple years ago for about 9 bucks. Hasn't failed me yet! I love it! It's great to test connections too with the LED lights.
