The SPC registration forms have been updated on the website at the bottom of the page linked below:
http://wedrivefast.com/AboutOurEvents/F" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ... fault.aspx

If you want, download them ahead of time and bring them to registration that morning. Please print them back to back on one page.

Blank form will be available on-site, but it's a lot simpler to get 'em done ahead of time...

Oi.

Pending reply I'll have a map posted tonight.

Also, my co-chair had an issue and I asked Carl to do it with me... I messaged Tim M about setup since he asked, perhaps he can take Carl's spot. If he does not want it... is there anyone that does?

Chance of rain, so you may want to bring an umbrella... and perhaps we may want to schedule the race tire classes earlier since the rain is predicted anytime after 11 (or at least the sites I looked at said so) and they would have the hardest time running if it is wet.

Several people have emailed me asking about what happens in case of rain. Someone correct me if I'm wrong... But as far as I know the policy is that we run anyway. So long as there is no thunder or lightening we will continue running, just ask Kenny about All Wheel Drive drifting. If it gets too bad we will huddle under the shelter and give it a chance to pass. As I said, umbrellas and ponchos might be helpful... especially for courseworkers. Though we have a few, it can't hurt to bring one. If you have a convertible with a hardtop and no soft it would not be the day to leave it at home (I had someone mention that they did that at a previous event when it looked like rain, so they were worried). I think that's it about rain... hopefully it answers someones questions :)

Is there anything else anyone needs... let me know.

Oh, another quick thing.

If anyone wants to do a guided walk-through (novices and experienced alike) please plan on being there early enough to do it before the driver's meeting. As soon as the meeting is done we will be staging and getting running.

Extra hands are always welcome at setup time, the smoother the morning goes the faster we get going... it can mean more runs and an earlier finish :) Plus, with potential afternoon rain we'll want to get it in early.

I'm up for setup. Thanks for asking.

Race run tires run early? I might have a fighting chance against the others in that class if it is wet...I protest!!! J/k...whatever makes sense-I'm game. By the way...Corvette has been dyno tuned...480 CHP coming at you. :D

Gracias :)

and the other setup position will go to Tim... and you are right, maybe it would be better for "the group" if we make them run the slicks in the rain... it'd be more entertaining to say the least

Here we go...

My exit was too close to my entrance and didn't get fixed in time... so I borrowed a 3 year old Kenny map. Barely tweaked... so if you like it he is due the credit :)

Kim I hate to do this to do this to you on such short notice, but I will not be able to attend the event tomorrow, (I need all the work I can get right now) I'm sure there will be enough people on hand to help though.

Brian, I understand... thanks for letting us tonight instead of in the morning... we'll miss seeing you!

So now there's another spot open for setup... anyone want to get out of chasing cones?

This will be my first autocross, but if it is okay with you I wouldn't mind doing setup. I don't know if someone with more experience usually fills that job, but if I am qualified just let me know what time to show up and I'll be there.

Be there in 10 hours.

Gate opens around 7-ish. Setup is a get-there-early job. First part of setup is clearing the cones that are going to be in the way, and strategically arranging piles of them to use for our course, then actually setting up our course. Also includes unpacking the trailer once it arrives, setting out the loaner helmets, courseworker equipment, etc. But getting the course ready is the priority.

Thanks for offering to help! :)

Sure thing, there will others with more experience there to help. You've gotta learn sometime!

If anyone sees this post tonight or in the morning... if anyone can print a copy or few of the map it would be appreciated. My printer died and though I've left some messages with people I have yet to hear back. I'll bring the computer with the map in it, and a thumb drive to find a printing place if I have to. But I'm not sure what can be done on a Sunday morning... and we'll need the map to set up. :?

We'll figure it out either way, but if anyone can bring a map or maps with them I'd appreciate it greatly!
