Still not getting the pun... just trying to keep Brian from enthusiastically screwing up his course!

Opps ... sorry Brian:(
So many salom elements .... back and forth ...back and forth ....
Jim, it's quite faster than it looks, and really what else can you do at brooksville than go back and forth :dunno: . I'm sure you'll like it, besides with an S2000 every course is fast, right ? :)

Loren, I guess you're right about not tweaking the design to much, but I have some ulterior motives, being that I need to shake out my new suspension. Though the CB apex cone will be moved in a bit from where it shows on the map because it really makes you think on how to enter the slalom just before it.

BTW for anyone that might doubt the course design, this is Loren's quote on the post event thread the last time we ran the course. ;)

Brian and Dan put on a great event in spite of the weather. I thought the course was a bit on the "overly technical" side when I reviewed it (and we did loosen up a few things... and at setup Brian opted to eliminate a gate after the turn-around to open it up a little more there), but it actually wasn't bad at all. The more you considered proper placement of the car, the more speed you could maintain. But, if you got greedy and tried to take too much speed in the wrong place, then you'd have to nail the brakes and lose your rythm. Very cool course. 8-)

I'll get some AA batteries for the radios.
So do we have any volunteers for soda, water, gasoline in the morning? 6 cases water + 1 coke reg + 1 coke diet + 1 Sprite + 1 soda (whatever trips your trolley) and 2 gallons of gas (can is in the trailer) is enough I would think.

It would be good if a couple or three people would volunteer for course setup in addition to some other easy task that Loren assigns them. Obviously requires getting there early please.

Need someone(s) to volunteer to dispose of the 3 bags of trash at day's end. Critical need. There will be alot of empty pizza boxes, cans and bottles is all. No actual "garbage".

LET THE TRASH TALK BEGIN!!

If anyone else cancels out of S2 we will merge it with S3 like the old days :blackeye:

Okay you slackers who signed up to play within 24 hours and then became invisible for 4 weeks.

Special Thanks to Jesse and Jamie for covering the supplies. Makes my life go so much smoother.

Still need someone(s) to haul 3 bags of trash a few miles to a dumpster or I'll have to start making everyone take their own trash home with them. That might be the best permanent solution for the Airport.

The last event I went to that was still "fun" had a shitty hand drawn course map not to scale available on site only. Had driver's meeting at 9:30am first car off at 10am. NO lunch (or lunch break) but did have a food truck for $6-7 + drink. NO free bottled water but did have a public water supply and restrooms. Did squeeze in 5-48 second runs by doing away with break. DID give away trophies, t shirts or $10 event credits but ONLY to the class winners of at least 3 competitors.

See you all Saturday only 10% chance of rain and 67F Sunny.

Well, looking at the forecast of a 30 degree morning, with a 'feels like 26', I'll be bringing the trailer. :o I can take the trash and pick up ice if needed.

Loved that course and looking forward to running it again!

Jesse you need Scott to pick up the ice so you have enough room? Let him or me know by Friday.

Scott thanks a ton for the trash relief. All the bases are covered.

BTW: Steve didn't need a reminder from we mortals (who still wet ourselves) he had to wait for the Brooksville Tampa Regional Airport to find time out of their busy schedule preparing for the lawsuit over naming themselves "Tampa". TPA warned them. TPA set aside $400k for their lawsuit copyright infringement suit they promised. "Don't step on Superman's cape. Don't spit into the wind."..... :salute:

The weather I'm looking at says 35F @ 5am, sunrise at 7:10, High of 65F and SUNNY Woohoo. Can't buy this weather in a can. 'Sides Loren "the benevolent" put R1 cars in 3rd heat so you should be in heaven after that first ugly run.
