Sophia and I are in. And she's driving the Miata. Be afraid...once she figures that car out, she's going to be quick.

Note some minor changes to the map template. Since the motorcycle school is closed, we're moving our grid area down to where their course was. Major parts of the MC course are now shown on the map as yellow lines. The port-a-potty should be moved to the concrete pad by now.

That course looks like a great challenging layout. The last championship event was a fairly straightforward (but very enjoyable) layout, this looks like the other end of the scale as far as a challenge to get everything right. Love the idea of a mid-course figure eight.

It sucks I won't be able to make it to this classic. :( Wish I could drive the course. I will look forward to some videos on YouTube to see how it drives.

Have fun,
Dan.

twistedwankel wrote:It's time for sharing. This is a CLASSIC!!!!!!! Yes you still get stickers and big smiles. (I don't think Loren will count these runs against your total?- He's cool.)

I'll bring my RX8 and have 4 sorta rookies (in my mind at least) run it twice for training purposes for my 8 runs.

I have people in mind for the Grey 8 that is now totally perfect after the last brake job!! Way better than when new. You folks can beat me!!

No order of people concerning skill or aptitude. The offer is there:

Andrew Wong
Steven Hewitt
Soraya Diaz
Nate Williams (who can drive without torque I think?)

I'll ride with you all and tell you all my secrets. FWD or RWD doesn't matter. I'll drive your cars too if you want?

Your times will not be published unless of course you kick my butt.

The Mayor
Anyone in touch with Soraya? I sent her a PM.

Philip you happy autocrosser you will end up on my short list since you all ready are registered :thumbwink:

I know you'll have fun and try to beat me too.

Doug
Doug,

I think Soraya registered for the bmwcca autocross tomorrow, I could try to let her know if she is there tomorrow.

That explains it. She's tapped out between extra xcrosses and her horse.

Yes. Let her know if she's interested to sign up.

Thanks.

Sorry for disappearing guys! Crazy with work, launching biz (and wearing all the hats), and of course, tax day doth cometh soon... Haven't been checking in as I should. I need 40 hrs per day.

I would have registered for the Classic but it's another one of those weeks that I am working 8-12p Saturday and, although real close (10 min away in Spring Hill), there's no way to make it in time to both run and work. It's different with Championship events because I can sign up for the afternoon session.

Sooo, Phillip, have fun  - and you guys tell me all about it on the 12th!

Soraya

Registration wrapped up with 38 drivers.

That's a good solid number for 3 small run groups, should be a great time!

Can't argue with that!

Hey, the "official" setup crew has been emailed. But, if you're not one of them and you want to volunteer to come help with setup, maybe learn a thing or two about course setup or timing setup or whatever, feel free to come early. I'll be at the gate at 7:00am sharp. If you're there at that time, I'll let you in. If you're later than that, you'll be stuck waiting for Matt to come open the gate for regular check-in at 7:45!

Anyone up for taking on Brian "king of the full load"?

No one has ever touched his skill level with a full load of passengers in my RX8 4 door.

I'll put 3 newbies in the RX8 with him driving and I don't think more than 1/2 of you can beat his time at the end of the day.

Brian is "king with a full load - in his pants".

Ask Loren if he needs any help?

I'm always good but I don't do shit - only drive and hand people their asses. Loren does all the brain work and sweat.
