I saw a pristine Black shiny Fastiva today at the bank with nice alloy wheels that engine would look great in. Probably not appreciated in the two tone Fastiva?

FASTiva Blown Head Gasket -- Wat Do?

Gaskets and an oil filter ordered. Plus some tools that I keep saying I need. Namely, a set of ratcheting wrenches and a couple of 10mm sockets. (the little suckers seem to evaporate!)

My garage isn't organized like Steve's, but all the parts are in. Where's that Ben guy who said he was going to take point on getting this job done? :headscratch:

Kia is offering $1500 for anything in trade + a Cruise for 2 to the Bahamas. It's HUGE.

I can see Ben and his lady on a cruise. Me? I gave up on boats a couple years ago. I'll spare you the vulgar expletives, but... no.

Back on topic... Ben got the oilpan on the new engine. (with all the baffles in place, properly sealed, and all that) One step closer.

Kia. Ben sees a Kia in his future AND a Cruise with his main squeeze. Am I the only one who noticed how quickly he got on board with the project? Kia Soul. Rodents. Slow Steveador.

The "new" engine now has the "new" waterpump and timing belt installed on it. Ready to install!

We're gonna try to knock it out this weekend. 8-)
