I can "float" for the day. Couple runs in the RX-8 would be fun. Who else has a seat available for some runs?

Jet A is basically refined kerosene...burns well in a torch (with or without a turbine attached), but I wouldn't put it in a car engine!

We just put a new set of RE71R's on the car and killed the outside edges on the left side (two days with right-hand turn-arounds) in ~20 runs. They seem to evaporate with heat.

We will flip them on the wheels for this event...but we are supposed to be "scuffing them" in for two events in Bristol TN. Tonda and I should run in different heats if we can to keep the heat down. (Spray tires after each run too)

Just put a note on your registrations for work assignments. Can't imagine anyone in S2 being concerned. She's the most likely person to beat you. This is a laid back event

They're all laid back events. Just stick a note on your entry, let me know what you want to do.

I usually run co-drivers together unless they're noobs. Some like it that way, some don't. Lemme know. I'm easy. (but, don't expect me to remember anything)

Why not expand that to S1 and M2. Pretty sure he would still be pretty safe...

I have little experience on race tires, but I can probably offer some feedback.

My experience on race tires is 4 runs, two of which I muffed with a spin. They are really grippy right up until they're not. Regardless, at my skill level, they're just fun. Just looking for feedback on suspension setup if you have any ideas.

Yup. That is my general advice to anyone looking to try race tires.

If you cannot find this road you probably shouldn't be driving anything?

I haven't driven on Hoosier race tires in 16 years. I think they merged with Continental? Frickin' awesome grip but you have to know not to lift "ever". Hoosier used to label their tires "0" wear.

I have not seen an email to participants to this event so I hope I haven't missed something important like two weeks ago.

You really need to fix your email, Joe. We don't even get an indication that your email has "bounced". It just goes into a black hole. (which probably means you are receiving it, and it's being purged on your end somehow)

But, no, you haven't missed anything that wasn't in the event info.

I did forget to ask folks to bring brooms and blowers just in case. I guess it's too late for that now. Not sure how gritty the site will be.
