yea.... I guess it's like 10 stones compared to the other one. Regardless the other route I'm sure will keep you on your feet getting use to it for a bit anyways.
JasonS wrote: National guys on NASIOC say they make this chassis a beast in slaloms but do add a bit of understear. Since 90 percent of our courses are slalom intensive I think it may be worth a go. Plus I think it will help with camber loss in turns.
I actually installed different sway bar brackets to mimic the bar to being a little stiffer since it was cheaper and a lot easier to replace the fsb. I did it mostly for the same reason to reduce roll/camber loss from all the rolling it did. Seemed pretty damn well last event and I usually have a small little complaint about understeer but I did not have one this time.

Thanks for sticking around, Jason! We're glad you find us worthy of your time.
And thanks for running a great organization. FAST is the only club I have raced with so I have no basis for comparison but outside of installing air conditioning at our sites I'm not sure how it could be better. :dunno:
I've been to events with Florida Corvette Racing Club and SCCA Central Florida Region. There are trade offs in cost and venue selection, but Fast events are by far the best organized of the bunch, and absolutely the most beginner friendly. If I had tried to start AutoXing with one of the other groups, I probably wouldn't have stuck with it. There's nothing wrong with staying with what works for you.

JasonS wrote:I got the opportunity to travel to Nepal to hike the Annapurna circuit next October, which has been a dream of mine for 20 or so years. That will consume my coilover funds. So back to just camber plates for now. I''m thinking that will make enough improvements in the car to be at least be semi-competitive. Probably won't get those until fall though. Also picked up some hawk pads. Should satisfy the "need for speed" for at least a little bit.

Not sure when the coilovers will happen now but hey, NEPAL!

We went to Nepal and did the Around Annapurna trek in 1982 (?), yeah, like before you were born, probably. Brutal, even though the Sherpas carried everything (tents, food, etc.), I thought I was gonna buckle and fall down the cliffs a few times. We lived in Texas at the time, and tried to train to get in shape by climbing up and down the embankments of highway overpasses.
Things have gotten much more civilized in Nepal since our trek, but the trails are probably still the traditional trading trails. Best way to get in shape is to use a stairstepper, which didn't even exist back in our day. Love to talk to you about it next time we see you.

Awesome, I'd love to chat about it. My understanding is that its much more "developed" now. A lot of the trail that you most likely hiked is now "road". At least the beginning and end. The area from before Manang to the other side of the pass is still all trail it seems. I've watched tons of videos of peoples treks and am beyond excited. Seriously, Nepal is the first place I can remember ever wanting to go. Saw the movie K2 way back in the day and was hooked to remote alpine. Ive done hikes and climbed some 14ers in BC, Colorado, and Cali but the Thorong la pass at nearly 18,000 is on another level. Would love to hear how your body handled that, I have no idea how I will do. K2 base camp trek is another one I'd love to do but that requires travel in Pakistan. Would probably be fine but....

I was born in Jan of 82 btw. I was probably 8 months old when you went.

Rumor has it that prices on a lot of stuff like that is about to go up significantly. Some of it because it's imported from China, some just because the import tarrifs have driven up the domestic cost of materials.
