I'm not going either, and I was planning to ask Dan to take the registration box up there.

I'm gonna need to arrange to get the box to someone, somehow... (anyone near St.Pete gonna be at the novice school the week before?)
kickslop - are you going/willing to mind the box?

and by the way, looks like Billy and Leo are going after all, and can do registration.
I can take the box no problem. Just tell me when and where you want me to come over to pick it up. :)

ahhh, I love it when a plan comes together...

Leo, I'll send you a PM and we'll work something out between the 11th and the 18th.
Thanks.

Either that, or I can take it on the 11th and bring it to Brooksville on the 18th. You know I'll be at the gate first thing. :)

Thanks, but I may need it after the 11th, so Leo and I can hook up, and he can also return it to me after the 18th. It'll give me time to get the reg. forms for the 18th printed and in the box, too.

By the way, one job to be filled is someone needs to volunteer to make copies of our paper numbers, and to get a roll of tape or two. I'd suggest 20 copies of each number. We had 5 of each at the last event and ran out. It would be great if folks would try to avoid 3 and 4 digit numbers (or bring their own would be even better...)

I can bring a couple rolls of tape with me but I don't have a printer... :(

Just a reminder that there are SEVEN DAYS left to register for this event. Registration ends 8 March, after which the list gets turned into the airport authorities. We cannot add anyone -- drivers or guests -- after 8 March, so get your names in while there's still time!

Could someone please go to baybimmers.com and make a thread about the March 18 event. I tried but they still haven't activated my account in the 3 weeks they've had to do so...

We've "only" got 35 entries, let's try to talk it up a bit and see if we can't churn up a bit more interest!

I tried to register online this morning but could not. Thought the deadline was end of da March 8th.

Can I still get on the list. I sent an email to the general mailbox for Fast as well.

BayBimmers is a dead forum. No point in posting there. Instead we could post at "http://www.floridagerman.com/" That's where most of the old BayBimmers folks have moved to.

We're at 60 entries now.

For some reason, the MAE site shut off pre-registration, but it wasn't intended to close until tonight. I've added those who e-mailed wedrivefaster@yahoo.com to the entry list. I also need any and all guests on that list tonight. As people found last week, we can't do late adds.

I can still use two people besides Drew for morning setup. And two people besides Kenny for cleanup. This will count as your work assignment unless we have so many no-shows that we can't man the course.

Dan...one of us needs to deconflict the numbers everyone picked with the permanent number list. You or me? I can send you a spreadsheet with the entries.

Last, who can/will generate the entry sheets? I can print them, but I don't have the software to generate the forms.

Course is done on paper -- should have a map up soon.

Jamie,

If you want, just send me the Excel file from MAE - can you format it the same way you did last month? I can get the forms printed and put them in the registration box before I give it to Leo to take to the event.

Or, I can email you back the pdf and you can print 'em...whichever.

I'm only about 20 minutes from the course. More than willing to help on the set up. Just give me a time and I'll be there before that.

I have no problem staying after and helping with clean up and I'll put my name in to work a Grid assignment. :)

Jamie, you've committed the ultimate sin. A gate with apex markers on both sides! You're telling people to apex left AND right at the same place. We don't have the technology to do that, Captain!

Make that a double cone gate or something, it'll be more clear.

That's exactly what happens in that spot...as long as you don't try it at the same time, you won't break anything.... :)

Left captain behind many years ago..... If double pointers vex people (I realize they're frowned upon in the Book of Roger, but so are pin turns, and we see plenty of those), changing the visuals is simple..

Yeah, I think conflicting pointers are bad form. Every now and then somebody's gonna lose track of where they are on the course, if they knew to start with. If they catch one of those two apexes, but not the other... they could easily end up going the complete wrong direction and DNF a run.

Lots of ways around the issue, I'm sure you'll come up with one.
